Don’t push past your word limits: Up to 10% over costs nothing; 10–20% over costs 5 marks; beyond 20% caps a passing piece at exactly the pass mark. When in doubt, trim rather than risk it.

A single weak module doesn't have to mean a resit: If you score at least 35% and your overall performance elsewhere is strong, the Board can compensate - recording a pass without a resit - though this only covers up to a quarter of your credits at that stage.

Your final classification can round up in your favour: Bands run First (70%+), 2:1 (60–69%), 2:2 (50–59%), Third (40–49%) — and if your average lands just under a boundary while your other modules clearly performed at the higher band, you may be bumped up automatically or at the Board's discretion, depending on how close you are.
