INTRODUCTION

In today's advanced world, everything works on internet technology. People get stuck without an internet connection, and their work gets hampered (Karl and Aghakhani, 2021). It also happened during the travel that there was no network. In some areas, there is a network for phone calls; also, people face many difficulties in these circumstances. However, during travel in such areas, the vehicle gets stuck due to technical or other issues, such as breakdowns, and travelers face problems. Even in urban areas, this happens, and there is no way out at odd times.

Additionally, the female segment of the population is not secure in today's era (Moore, 2020). In such areas, some women get stuck due to cab services, the breakdown of their cab or cars, and many other reasons. They often do not get assistance and face trouble leaving that area. However, data from A Seymour (2024), it has been stated that the breakdown of cars reached 274596, especially in 2023, with a rise of 20% from the last 5 years. There are several existing apps that provide similar services to people but with a long response time of 44 minutes (Daf.co.uk, 2024).

The innovative idea of "Emergency Car Help" existed to provide solutions to such circumstances. Using this application peo, people can figure their way out and reach their destinations safely and securely in the best 30 minutes.

This report introduces the innovative idea of a car application that assists people when they get stuck due to automobile breakdowns.

The whole purpose of this idea is to make people's life easy. Additionally, the assessment aims to develop skills, attitudes, knowledge, and techniques that foster sustainable innovation in an industry. Moreover, this assessment will teach how to create a business plan, establish the business at a small scale,, and take it to a large scale. It will also provide insight into implementing different entrepreneurial and innovative models regarding the industry business. Description of a business plan

Concept:

It was stated that some areas have no internet connection, and people face problems while traveling if their vehicles break down in the middle of the trip (Shrivastav et al., 2020). The person can contact via this application and avail services for their issues within a 30-minute response time. When a person states their issue on the application the company will provide solutions to the stated issue. The application will be governed under the surveillance of local police stations and authoritative bodies to ensure passengers' safety and security. They can get updates on the application on the phone while traveling. Customers can use the application without any network or internet connections.

The three features of the Emergency Car Help App henceforth are meant to help drivers and travelers who encounter problems with their cars in Canterbury, United Kingdom. It provides a serviceable solution, even where people do not have web connections. These include an emergency pickup service where, if the user's vehicle is not road-worthy, they can book a pickup and track the arrival of the allocated driver. Furthermore, it connects customers or car owners with recovery and repair services so that cars can be towed or repaired from the scene. Downloadable at Canterbury, this application's purported functions are to relieve stress, help its users gain prompt assistance, and increase safety while driving.

Target Market and Audience:

The main focus of "Emergency Car Help" is to serve travelers of all ages. It aims to help those stuck in their vehicles in any area of Canterbury. Generally, these applications are used by solo travelers, logistics drivers, or females stuck in remote areas. Some people have doubts about their security and safety because of sharing the location coordinates of their vehicles. However, the company does not use any personal information for its benefit and seeks permission from the customers. Unique Selling Price (USP):

There are several unique selling prices of "Emergency Car Help." Following are the listed USPs of the application.

  1. Offline Working: The application has a major USP of working offline. Users of the application can access the services via the application without using the internet. There is no restriction on device or software as it is available for Android and Apple software.

  2. Multiple Technologies: Use multiple technologies to make it safe and secure for travelers. There is involvement of three main technologies, including Radiolocation, Satellite location detector, and SOS technology.

  3. Versatility: there is no restriction on vehicle type as the company deals in all types of vehicles, including trucks, cars, bikes, etc., whichever the users desire.

  4. Multiple Services: Services involved: pickup- and drop-off of customers and the vehicle, repairing the vehicle, and sole drop and pickup service for travelers.

Distinctive Attributes:

The application uses different technologies involving; Radiolocation technology, SOS technology, and Satellite technology.

Radiolocation technology is used for the detection and accurate location of the object without using an internet connection. It uses the radioactive frequencies and radio waves (Zekavat et al., 2021). The location is detected by using radio devices like cellular phones or radars. This is also known as the radio positioning technology. This technology benefitted the application to recognize the user's and their vehicles' accurate position.

SOS technology stands for Systems of Systems Technology. This is the technology that integrates several software systems to run. It is used to transmit signals to seek help without any internet. The technology can easily be used via mobile phones as it generates the transmitting waves of signals. The application uses this technology to ensure the safety and security of the customer (Pelliccione et al., 2020). It detects any mishap that may occur during the trip. However, it tracks all the details and security measures of the app and the security device. If the traveler feels unsafe or any unfamiliar activity, they can send a signal via application, and urgent action will be taken regarding the request.

The use of technology is Satellite Technology. This works on the radio waves of the device and connects with space satellites in Earth's orbit to detect the device's accuracy. This technology keeps track of the device's location every second and updates it on the software simultaneously with the automatic feature (Zekavat et al., 2021). This technology is used in applications to keep track of the device location of traveler every second to ensure their security.

Location and operation details

The "Emergency Car Help" application will first be launched in Canterbury, UK – a city that boasts a historic core and a rather ethnically diverse population. This strategic choice enables the application to be useful for residents, people constantly traveling, and tourists who may experience vehicle-related problems on their trips. Canterbury is divided among urban and rural territories, so difficulties arise, especially in the rural zones where help can be provided only in a few minutes.

During the first phase of operation, cooperation with local garages, tow trucks, and emergency services responding to users' requests will be highly prioritized (Cummuskey, 2022). The direct links to the local vendors will help to improve the service delivery reliability and create the feeling of people's instincts. The operations will consist of tactics of dispatching, tracking services, and customer relation services to facilitate the handling of requests for services.

Extensions will be made further once the application is popular. Investors trust the company's competency in addressing the needs of the inhabitants of other cities and districts within the Canterbury while addressing the needs of two extremely populated areas; plans shall be initiated to extend the coverage to neighboring areas within the chosen area or different states altogether all the while retaining quality service delivery. This raised-scale model enables the right scaling up of the applications as it introduces improvements, which can solve the needs of a more extensive population base as an extension of the lessons learned in Canterbury.

Marketing Plan

The following practices can be approached while promoting of application:

  1. Television & Radio Advertisements: Broadcasting the advertisement on the radio & television will make the wide reach to the customers (Ahakwa et al., 2021). Television is a device thatavailable in each house in different forms like mobiles, computers, etc.

  2. Web Streaming Collaboration: Collaboration with web streaming applications like Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime, etc., will make the work easier by displaying ads on their platforms.

  3. Guerilla Marketing: Involving wall paintings on the Canterbury street will help create awareness about the application and other safety measures via traveling (Gillert, 2021).

  4. Partnership with traveling Companies: Organizations that provide services for trip planning, like Arivva UK Bus, Make My Trip, Airbnb, etc. This strategy will display ads on their websites and create awareness among the population.

  5. Ad Campaign: The organization can initiate the ad campaign in the Canterbury city based on different themes regarding travel. For instance, road safety, travel security, women's protection, and other travel themes.

  6. Banners and Posters: The interactive and attractive banners and posters can be placed in bus stations, taxi stations, train stations, tourist places, and remote city areas of the city.

Value Chain Evaluation

  1. Inbound Logistics: This is the process that involves the processing, receiving, and storing of raw materials for the product (Hu and Weisel, 2020).

In the case of “Emergency Car Help” it involves supplier relationships and technology infrastructure. The firm establishes partnerships with Canterbury local garages and care services to grant quick access to repair services and develop strong infrastructure to support real-time tracking features, which backup systems.

  • Supplier Relationship: Doing partnerships with local vendors and suppliers enhances the quality of services. It fosters a sound relationship between the company and enhances the responsiveness of the company (Dubey et al., 2021).

  • Technology Infrastructure: Establishing strong technical infrastructure is equally important for the organization. This involves the appropriate devices for the high tech software and technology installation. Proper networking radars and devices are needed to provide seamless communication between the application and users. Strong technical hardware and infrastructure are crucial to the application's success.

Evaluation: A strong relationship between the local vendors and the organization punctuates the services provided. The response of local vendors is quick and has sound knowledge of the area, enabling them to reach the location in time. The application's success is also possible by local partnership as it makes the services efficient. According to Hassan et al. (2020), the robust technology infrastructure provides the traveler seamless communication with the company. Having good quality infrastructure will help to recognize any technical glitch within time which will help them to fix it immediately. The technology ensures that the application is working efficiently.

  1. Operations

Operation is converting the raw materials and goods into successfully finished goods ready to supply. It involves the element and process of making the finished goods (Nagy et al., 2018).

This process is done in the following manner in the context of “Emergency Car Help”:

  • Service Delivery Mechanism: Efficient management of the requests raised by the users and responding to them immediately is a truly good service mechanism. The team delivers the required services or resources to the desired location within time.

  • Training Staff: The efficient and required training given to the staff according to their job roles is essential. Elaborating the work to the local vendors and making them familiar with the company and its resources are part of the training staff. Giving knowledge of networking to individuals who are not familiar with this domain is the proper staff training.

  • Technology Utilization: Effective use of SOS Technology, Satellite Technology, and Radiolocation technology is the optimal utilization of the technology. The proper offline tracking of the vehicle and device smoothly is the efficient utilization.

A proper streamlined service mechanism helps to boost the productivity of the application. Efficient use of technology prevents unwanted glitches and issues in the app.

  1. Outbound Logistics

This is the process that involves the distribution or delivery of the product. It involves continuous communication with customers to deliver their desired product by adhering to the specifications entailed by the customers (Mukucha et al., 2022).

  • Service Delivery: Ensuring the user makes the service request must be delivered in time for better quality feedback. Proper communication must be done with the user while delivering the services.

  • Tracking: Accurate tracking updates must be provided to the customer based on real-time monitoring. The efficient working of maps and tracking systems must be in existence. The user should get complete trip details while traveling and getting their vehicle repaired. It should include time of arrival, time of departure, location coordinates with current status, etc.

Evaluation: Efficient status trips provided to the customer will develop trust in the application, encouraging them to recommend others. Timely delivery of the services will foster the organization's punctual personality, making a good impression on customers. Continuous and proper communication with Passengers will make them feel safe and secure.

  1. Marketing & Sales

  • Market Target: The target customer segment for the organization is all types of travelers, including solo travelers, logistics drivers, females, etc. However, the service can be availed by anyone, but these are some focused segments as they are particularly vulnerable during travel.

  • Promotional Strategy: The organization focused on mass media advertising promotion. The organization selected this strategy due to its wider reach among the people. Mass media has fast and wider reach in the public. Other than this, the company uses a collaboration strategy with local vendors and service providers, which makes it more accessible for the users of the application. Additionally, the collaborative strategy with travel agents and websites, online streaming platforms, and the ad campaign idea will foster awareness about road safety and other travel precautions.

Evaluation: Effective marketing strategy helps to create awareness among the public in an impactful manner. Effective marketing is a crucial aspect of any organization. Strong, impactful marketing creates a constructive image for the brand and creates brand value. The company has invited potential customers to use their application by targeting the market audience. It fosters a loyal and authentic community for the organization that serves the community actively. Active community assists in the growth of the ad campaign, which can also lead to great success.

  1. Customer Services

This is the stage where the services are provided to the customer after product delivery. This involves services like product installation, warranty services, etc. This stage is essential to attain satisfactory results from the customers' side.

To maintain efficient after-sales customer service, "Emergency Car Help" implemented the following steps:

  • Customer Support: A customer support team is established to address the enquiry and issues of the customers. This involves the problem that the traveler faces. The team ensures that enough appropriate solutions are provided to the customers for the best satisfaction. This team governs the issues of the customers so efficiently and thoroughly.

  • Feedback Service: After completing the trip, a feedback form is circulated to the passenger to enter the experience of traveling or using the company's services for the betterment of the organization in the future (Kotiloglu et al., 2021.

Evaluation: Providing effective customer support to the users will make them believe that they can use the services again via the application. The time response to the customer will foster their trust more strongly in the organization. With the help of feedback from "Emergency Car Help," improve their services and productivity more efficiently.

Competitive Advantages

  1. Technology Advancement: Advanced technology helps to foster tracking of devices without using the internet and provides customers' current status while traveling (Zolas et al., 2021).

  2. Strong Vendor Relationship: Having a good relationship with local vendors helps the company to be punctual and serve the customer effectively in an efficient manner.

The "Emergency Car Help" application has several competitive advantages that determine its strategic position in the market. The most attractive feature is the capacity for offline usage to obtain accurate answers in areas with no Internet connection available. With this capability and other various services, including emergency pickups, vehicle recoveries, and repair coordination, the users are provided with all-around services in case of breakdown of their vehicles. Biometric technology engages the user by providing real-time tracking capabilities and SOS buttons that will call emergency services if necessary.

Strategic local partnerships with garages and service providers also act as a backup to the app as they deliver prompt and quality service using local insights. Marketing strategies aim at attractive and sensitive groups such as lone travelers and women's commitment to safety worries and customer loyalty. Availability and approachability of the customer support team, besides the fact that the app developers will go the extra mile to address user feedback, are ways through which it can be ascertained that user satisfaction will progressively be met as the application undergoes constant development.

Feasibility Assessment

  1. Industry

The transport industry is on the growing chart of on-demand service opportunities due to the advancement of technology and increasing consumer resilience on mobile applications. The market is rising demand for emergency assistance of vehicles and attaining significant growth as the safety concern. However, the data of IBIS shows a decline of 2.5% of road-side assitances (IBIS, 2024). The trend signifies a great opportunity for "Emergency Car Help" to establish the business in this industry as an integrated solution provider for vehicle-related issues.

  1. Market

As of now this market has over 10000 employees along with the revenue of 1.8bn GBP with healthy demand has encouraged novel businesses to enter into this market (IBIS, 2024).

By identifying this pattern of the market, the analysis shows the requirement of applications like "Emergency Car Help." Competitors provide cab services involving the applications' safety features but lack the technology's integrated usage. The population segment of urban areas is more prone to travel, which is inherent in the requirement to seek security.

  1. Organization structure

The organization comprises the customer relation team, technical expert team, local vendors, and local Police authorities. Resources included in the "Emergency Car Help" are technical experts and strong, established relations among local vendors and security authorities. This framework of the organization helps make quick decisions and provide services effectively. Hence, this structure shows the flat structure in which each segment is divided into the sub-divisional market.

  1. Financial

The initial estimated cost of the application establishment is €2500.00, which includes marketing, app development, partnership, marketing, and ad campaign. Angel investors, crowdfunding, bank loans, or venture capital can allocate funds. A subscription fee is involved for the premium services, and local collaborated partners are involved in the commission-based model. It is estimated that the company's profits will reach 40% to 60% in 18 to 24 months due to the high demand for the application that provides services like "Emergency Car Help."

Revenue model

Risk Management

Some potential risks identified for the "Emergency Car Help" are discussed below:

  1. Market Risk: This includes the customer's changing preferences as the rising on-demand services involve an increasing number of competitors, impacting future organizational profits (?Frasson, 2020). Every industry has an evolving nature which may bring disruptive change in the market.

  2. Financial Risks: The initial stage of the business establishment may face a significant challenge in the cash flow management which can lead to the company's downfall.

  3. Operational Risk: Managing effective relations in the long run with vendors is crucial but difficult to maintain. If this is ineffective, it will hinder the services provided by the organization and may foster distress among users.

  4. Technological Risk: Depending completely on advanced technology is vulnerable to cyber-attacks, data breaches, and other technical problems (Aslan et al., 2023). Additionally, each day, there is a new technology that may impact the existing technology usage of the organization.

SWOT ANALYSIS

The SWOT analysis model helps identify the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It helps to develop strategies to mitigate risks and overcome hindrances (Benzaghta et al., 2021).

For "Emergency Car Help," advanced technology, marketing approaches, and local partnerships are the strengths. Limited customer reach, dependency on technology, and limited resources of finance are the weaknesses of "Emergency Car Help." Increasing cyber-crime, intensive competitive industry, and downturn of finance are the threats to the organization. Growing on-demand travel services, expansions to new market regions, and other marketing strategies are opportunities for the organization.

Risk Mitigation Strategies

  1. Market Risk: To overcome this risk, the organization regularly tracks the market shift patterns and the competitors' actions. Conduct proper market research to determine shifts in the preferences of consumers and emerging trends with the use of surveys.

  2. Financial Risk: Effective and detailed planning of finance flow will be done by properly segmenting the funds and revenue. Integrate strict cash flow management involving budgeting to grant the business to cover operations costs in lean periods and explore funding strategies such as crowdfunding and venture capital to secure a financial base (Oburo, 2021).

  3. Operational risk: Clear and effective communication will be done with local partnerships to maintain an impactful relationship in the long run. Vendor Relationship Management: One should foster steady relationships with the most important suppliers by reporting and analysing their cooperation and rewarding them for providing services in due time (Darko and Vlachos, 2022).

Training and Development: Emerge some courses for the employees and the various vendors in the functioning of the operations and the handling of the customer needs.

Performance Metrics: Severely set objectives to measure the overall performance of operations and vendors to quickly differentiate between good and bad service and take appropriate action.

  1. Technological Risks: By prioritizing the security concerns of data breaches and other cyber-crimes, certain precautions will be taken, and then services will be provided to the users. Regular Technology Updates: Always keep exploring the latest technology to incorporate in the app and back up the app to rectify any challenges that arise due to advancement in those properties a device is endowed with.

Data Backup and Recovery: Create backup and recovery policies to protect relevant data to avoid loss or breach in the system whenever it happens (Patil et al., 2020).

Enhanced security measures involve encryption, firewalls, and security assessments that must be utilized in such a way as to prevent information from the user and the application itself.

Conclusion

The report consists of a business plan based on the transport industry. The organization develops the application focused at on- demand travel services. The application is completely based on advanced technology and local partnerships with vendors. The unique selling price of the application is many but working offline without the internet is the significant USP of the application. The report consists of the industry's potential risks and risk mitigation strategy.

Additionally, it discusses the marketing strategy to enhance the organization's reach and the users' growth. The business's core values are integrity, accountability, teamwork, and innovation. The main objective of this assessment was to develop entrepreneurial skills and innovative mindsets in the individual. Moreover, it also assists in getting familiar with the value chain model of the industry. The report has familiarized with potential industry trends and business opportunities. This project enables the individual to explore the innovative attributes of the market and the industry.
