Smoking Awareness

Introduction

The biggest preventable cause of mortality on the planet is smoking which can include cigarette smoking, vapes, or any other form of smoking that causes harm to the human body. The tobacco pandemic claimed the lives of people over 100 million throughout the world just only in the twentieth century and the systems in the human body which are most affected are the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and these are most important part of human body. The majority of individuals are known about the danger of smoking tobacco for their physical health, but few are aware of its associated to the mental health as well. Although there are no such proof those excessive smoking causes any form of mental disease symptoms in the long run. On the other hand, it is well aware fact that the smoking is a common addiction among persons who suffer from mental illness. Although some research studies have demonstrated the presence of this link, it is still unknown whether the smoking is due to some kind of mental illness or, alternatively, if those with mental illnesses are more prone to become regular smokers.

Based on the study conducted in the USA, it was proven that 35% of the participants have mental illness to smoke and other 21% do it because they already had mental issues. Also 31% smokes the cigarettes while having mental illness in which 40% are men and 34% are women and also the 48% of these lives below poverty line and 33% of these lives above poverty line. There are different types of mental illness due to which people smoke such as schizophrenia in which the patients smoke for reducing their symptoms of cognitive deficits and it has proven that the patients with this disease smoke with the percentage 60 to 90. Also the patients who are depressed are more likely to smoke twice the time of regular smoker as nicotine which is major substance of the tobacco helps in releasing certain hormones such as dopamine and serotonin that helps in reducing their stress (Costa, 2018).

These neurotransmitters are frequently found to be low in when the person is depressed and so they may then turn to smokes to temporarily boost the level of dopamine and serotonin in their body. Smoking, on the other hand, helps the brain to totally get cut off from its own system for creating them, resulting in a reduction in supply over time, prompting individuals and thus, the smokers gets used to it. The patients who have anxiety also tend to smoke due to same reason as it helps in reducing their stress and they end up having increased craving due to this reason. Furthermore, the smoking causes lots of type of cancer as well such as lungs cancer which is most common cancer type due to smoking along with mouth, nose, throat and sinuses caner, oesophagus cancer, cancer of bladder, ureter and kidney, pancreas cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, ovary and cervix caner and bowel cancer and various other types (Cancer Council, 2021).

Furthermore, Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is the type of diagnostic tests which is most widely used for diabetes across the world. When opposed to a fasting glucose test, HbA1c has various benefits in terms of tool of diagnostic and thus, it has been widely suggested for determining glucose control in those who have previously been detect with diabetes. The level of HbA1c indicates the average glucose level in the blood over the previous two to three months and is thus used to assess glycemic management in diabetic patients. Thus, smoking the cigaretteis established as the serious cause of mortality, as well as the cause for premature death along with disability in the globe. Additionally, smokers with diabetes are more prone than non-smokers to have trouble with insulin administration and disease management. Previous research has found that smokers consist of higher HbA1c levels than nonsmokers, along with a 30–40 percent increased cause of type 2 diabetes. Also it has been seen that, in 2015, the prevention for use of e-cigarette in South Korea has been seen up to 7.1 percent for males and female percentage was 1.2 and this has been increased from the previous years as noted (Bergmans, 2019).

Further it also has been stated in some research studies that the smoking is particularly widespread among persons who has insecurity related to food, according to cross-sectional statistics. Smoking is approx 38% among low-income Americans in homes who has insecurity related to food. The evidence for the causative reason of this association is sparse and contradictory. Longitudinal research shows that smokers are likely to have the insecurity related to do as what they are eating and as a result of economic disturbances and that such recovery become hard to do for smokers since the additional expenditure limits financial resources. Furthermore, evidence shows that smokers smoke to relieve psychological discomfort connected with low socioeconomic situations such food insecurity. During times of austerity, smoking of the cigarettes can be used as a coping method to help with appetite control. The impact of food hardship on cessation of smoking, in particular, is little studied. Such type of insecurity is characterized by its severity fluctuating for a long time especially when there is long course of time spending getting the pay check or assistance socially.

The simple examination on health its behaviors which has influence on the static insecurity of the food misses the probable significance of transitions to food insecurity such as chronic food insecurity and the removal of insecurity related to the food. The study stated that long exposure for the people who have these problems like food instability may affect one's ability to manage impulses and those higher levels of stress are associated with increasing nicotine addiction as a result, persons who are food insecure. This study investigated the association between insecurity of the food transitions and the cessation of smoking and the change in consumption of smoking of older people utilizing longitudinal data from a representative US sample of people aged 50 and above (Choi, 2020).

In young people, smoking has health consequences which can be short-term such as symptoms, related to the respiratory as well as non-respiratory nicotine addiction, and an increased chance of using other drugs. The studies stated that the majority of people that are young who has habit of smoking often gets habitual to the smoking into adulthood contribute to adolescent smoking's long-term health consequences. People who smoke cigarettes have worse lung related issues than people who don’t smoke as the smoking causes a delayed growth rate of the lungs. As a result of their behavior, adults who smoke cigarettes get diseases related to heart as well such as strokes. According to research, early indications of several ailments have been detected in youngsters who smoke. Even among elite runners, smoking has a deleterious effect on physical fitness in young individuals, both related to the performance as well as endurance. Also it is a proven fact that the person who has severe smoking habit has 7 years less life span comparatively to the normal person (CDC, 2021).The smokers who are still young has heart beat ration of two to three beats per minute greater resting heart rate than nonsmokers. As a person smoke continuously, their chance of developing most cancers associated to smoking increases. Also breath shortness occurs three times more frequently in teen smokers than in nonsmokers, and phlegm occurs more than two times in the smokers comparatively (WHO, 2021).

Thus, the technique for this study will entail gathering data on various types of smoking goods and equipment, as well as the adverse effects that they may have on people and their environment, since smoke affects non-smokers who live with smokers. Along with this, the methodology includes collection of the data from different sources for analysation of different factors such as smoking cessation, risk of smoking and its impact on the health. Finally, the planned study would provide smoking cessation approaches based on survey data that may be used by people to assist them quit smoking. The outcome of this study will help in finding new cessation methods that can be adopted for leaving the smoking habits based on the gained data from different age group data collected using the survey. However, the study may have some issues such as the cessation methods might not be affective for larger number of population also for the people who smokes due to mental illness.

Aim

The aim of this study is to present in the following points-

  • How tobacco smoking started?

  • How it has impact on the human body?

  • What kind of illness is related with tobacco smoking?

  • How smoking cessation can be achieved?

  • What are the methods of smoking awareness?

Methodology

As stated, smoking is the biggest preventable cause of mortality which covers all types of smoking that are detrimental to the human body, including cigarette smoking, vaping, and other electronic cigarettes, among other things. A total of more than millions individuals died from tobacco-related diseases worldwide throughout the twentieth century alone. In particular, the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, which are among the most critical components of the human body, suffered the most severe consequences. When it comes to their physical health, a large majority of individuals are aware of the hazards that smoking tobacco poses.

However, only a few are aware of the threats that smoking tobacco poses to their mental health as well. However, despite the fact that there is no clear evidence to support this, it is thought that excessive smoking may contribute to the development of mental disease symptoms in the long run. In contrast, those who suffer from mental illness are acutely aware of the fact that smoking is a common addiction among individuals who are suffering from mental illnesses. The existence of a link between smoking and mental illness has been demonstrated by a number of research studies; however, it remains unclear whether smoking is caused by a specific mental illness or, alternatively, whether individuals who suffer from mental illnesses are more likely to become habitual smokers.

Furthermore, according to cross-sectional statistics, it has been claimed in certain research papers that smoking is particularly prevalent among those who experience food insecurity, and this is supported by other research studies. Smoking is prevalent among low-income Americans who live in families where there is food insecurity. This connection has been linked to a causal factor, although the evidence for this is thin and inconsistent. Researchers have discovered that smokers are more likely than non smokers to experience insecurity related to their eating habits and economic disturbances, and that recovering from such insecurity is more difficult for them because the additional expenditure reduces their financial resources by a significant amount.

Also the data suggests that smokers use tobacco to alleviate the psychological pain associated with low socioeconomic conditions, such as food insecurity, by consuming nicotine. During times of austerity, smoking cigarettes can be used as a coping mechanism to aid with appetite control and to help manage stress. The influence of food insecurity on smoking cessation, in particular, has received little research attention. Such types of insecurity are defined by their severity varying over a lengthy period of time, particularly when there is a significant period of time spent waiting for a pay check or receiving social assistance.

Thus, the methodology of this research will be the secondary research as the objective of this method is to collect information from a variety of sources and provide it to a researcher in this manner, which is known as the desk research. In this area, which is becoming increasingly popular, the user can get information from both internal and external sources, like the government data, organisations, as well as the internet. This includes things like internal surveys and studies, among other things. Internal sources, such as research, are also taken into consideration. The activities included in this area include internal research and other similar endeavours, among others. There are many other types of secondary research methods accessible, including the use of publically available data, reports, and surveys, among other things. Secondary sources of information can be discovered in a variety of locations, including libraries and museum collections. Data is gathered by a variety of methods, including surveys; phone interviews, observations, face-to-face interviews, and other forms of data collecting and analysis. For people with restricted access, data access is often provided at no cost or at a minimal fee. Through the lens of the present, researchers can obtain evidence from a variety of sources, verify and analyse it, and then utilise it to support or reject the ideas that they are exploring. In addition, it can further used to assess previous research on a particular issue. Researchers can examine data that has been collected over a lengthy period of time in order to uncover long-term trends. If a potential topic is deemed worthy of further examination, the technique can be utilised to determine the validity of early hypotheses that have been put up by the researcher (Qualitrics, 2022).

Thus from various sources such as research journals, articles, surveys and different other sources data will be collected and analysed to fulfil the mention aim of the study as shown in above points. Also to narrow down the search criteria, specific key words will be used such as smoking awareness, risk of smoking, health issues because of smoking and smoking cessation methods to get as much accurate result as possible. After getting the articles on these topics, it will be analyzed by reading and then summarizing the information stated in the topic. Thus this comes under Qualitative approaches which are distinguished by the emphasis placed on open-ended as well as conversational data collection during the research process. Individuals' thoughts and feelings must be understood not only for what, but also for why, in order to be effective in this method. Take, for example, the convenience store that is attempting to increase its customer base. In a rigorous investigation, it was discovered that men are more likely than women to shop at this particular retailer. Interviewing potential customers for the market segment in which the store is located is the most effective method of determining the reasons for the absence of female customers at the store. This method has been demonstrated to be effective time and time again (QuestionPro, 2022).

Data Analysis

Tobacco smoking

In all the decades that tobacco smoking has been shown to have major harmful health implications, no proof has been found in the latest studies of any different outcomes. Tobacco smoke is filled with about 5,000 different chemical components, with 73 of them designated as carcinogenic, either in animals or in people as mentioned in research study by Grabovac. Lung, oesophagus, larynx, pancreas, kidney, bladder, and cervix are all examples of malignancies in which cigarette smoking has been associated with the condition. While tobacco smoking has also been associated with other diseases, including coronary disease, atherosclerosis, chronic obstructive lung disease, infection, and infertility, it is also associated with several others, including infection, atherosclerosis, chronic obstructive lung disease, coronary disease, and infertility. According to the most recent estimates, about 1 billion people currently smoke stated in study by Grabovac.

Impact on the human body

The same research also indicates that the 8 million yearly smoking-related deaths might be the biggest cause of mortality in the world. While worldwide smoking prevalence has decreased significantly, it is regrettable that about a third of nations will fail to fulfill the WHO-mandated 2025 target, which implies one billion people will continue to smoke. It is now vital to offer comprehensive assistance for long-term quitting to those who want to kick the habit of smoking due to its extremely addictive nature, because alternative therapies that combat the challenges associated with dependence and addiction have been found to be very effective. Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) have seen as the possible and unique assistance in cessation of the smoking habits because they give a same experience as combustible cigarettes (Grabovac, 2021).

Figure 1 E cigarette vs. cigarette

An electronic cigarette that delivers the user with nicotine as well as simulating the sensory and motor effects while doing smoking (intake and hand gestures) but eliminating the inhalation of tobacco's carcinogens. Fliss-Isakov stated that no definitive evidence has emerged that demonstrates the use of e-cigarettes to quit smoking, although this might have a potential benefit: It is both neurobiological as well as habitually advantageous to quit smoking. This is due to the fact that electronic cigarettes (or "e-cigarettes") don't employ combustion, which reduces the risk of fatality and death. Proponents of the usage of e-cigarettes assert that this enables them to be utilized as a reduction strategy of harm. There is no debate that they serve as an effective cessation tool for smoking, but the validity of that assertion is unclear.

Illness is related with tobacco smoking

CRC, also known as colorectal cancer, is the most common malignancy in the USA and causes almost 25% of all cancer-related fatalities. Precursor polyps (known as polyps) first appear as precursor polyps, and then evolve into the condition throughout time given in the study by Fliss-Isakov. Early detection and prevention give the advantages of screening and monitoring. Adenomatous polyps, hyperplastic polyps and serrated adenomas have the potential to grow into malignant tumors (HP). Personal and family history of the illness as well as inflammatory bowel disease has been accepted as indicators of polyp and early colorectal cancer risk till now (Fliss-Isakov, 2018). Lifestyle risk variables like smoking must be included in risk stratification, as shown by the example of predicting the chance of acquiring colorectal cancer of the same research journal.

Figure 2 populations sample

Researchers have looked at whether or not smoking increases the risk of colorectal cancer for several categories. A model for the cumulative risk (CRC) in a western, average risk population was built by first modeling the characteristics of a specific smoking habits, age, height, alcohol intake, and gender stated by Hedman. When it came to those participants, smoking was the largest predictor. Only a few studies have assessed the relation between the length or severity of smoking and the development of colorectal advanced neoplasia. The researchers sought to discover whether time spent smoking, including the amount and length of smoking, was connected with the development of adenomatous along with serrated polyps.

The results of this cross-sectional study stated by Hedman show that about 2% of Swedish population has used e-cigarettes. Sex, age, education, and smoking were all related to the usage of electronic cigarettes (or e-cigarettes). Most current smokers used electronic cigarettes as well as regular cigarettes, and the people who used both types of cigarettes consist of highest rate of respiratory issues. Though the 2% of e-cigarette usage currently prevalence is less, but still consistent with, population sample which was taken randomly, it is also comparable to Europe as well as North America population-based surveys, which both revealed similar prevalence rates. Until quite recently, in Sweden, the sale of e-cigarettes was heavily restricted, which made it difficult for most of the e-cigarette owners to get their hands on them. When it comes to focused advertising and online sales, younger customers prefer to replace their existing consumer base (Hedman, 2018).

Many feel that electronic cigarettes may lead people to become regular smokers. Among the 5% of users for e-cigarette who are not current smokers, there is a 20% probability that they will eventually transition to conventional cigarettes. In this case, this group also risks developing a nicotine addiction, which has been postulated to increase the risk of disease such as cardiovascular and accelerate atherosclerosis as stated by Warner. For example, as this serves to further underline the importance of investigating the individual health implications of e-cigarettes rather than seeing them all as being equivalent to regular cigarettes, it may be said that this is also stressing the necessity for continued investigation of these consequences. However, studies show that the majority of current e-cigarette users are in fact current cigarette smokers (Santoro, 2019). Based on available information, smoking cigarettes in Sweden is most frequent among women and those over the age of 50, whereas use of e-cigarette is shown to be significantly more frequent in the men and those in their twenties. Because of its ability to attract new population sample, e-cigarettes may therefore contribute to increase smoking prevalence in communities that traditionally have had low risk levels.

A fundamental, chronic illness of the brain's reward, motivation, memory, and associated circuits, on April 12, 2011according to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), is defined as: "Addiction." “Substance use disorder” should be used instead of “addiction” in the DSM-5". Substance use disorders, which feature uncontrollable behavior, social issues, risky behavior, and physical reliance. Binge/intoxication is explained by alterations in the neural circuitry, which corresponds to various functional domains: firstly, includes reward along with incentive salience (basal ganglia), second is withdrawal and negative affect (habenula andamygdala), and thirdly it includes preoccupation and anticipation (extended amygdala and habenula). Three unique phases support each other, and the cycle gains more influence with each passing cycle. As a result, the addictive cycle begins again after completion of each cycle, but intensifies each time, leading to a worsening condition of SUD (Warner, 2019).

Figure 3 nicotine reactor

Based on one of the study assumption which stated that the cautious in this instance (anti-e-cigarette) when vaping never-smokers and those who were 18 or younger tested positive for producing a new wave of adult smokers, the simulation demonstrated that the trend persisted year after year. Thus, in the future, vaping never-smokers above the age of 18 will continue to help to increase the number of adult smokers. Gateway effect concerns are backed by the research that show teens who have never smoked cigarettes and who vape have a higher likelihood of progression to regular cigarette use. This is further evidence of the significance of the third data point, which is a considerable trend in cigarette smoking rates that is clear from two large national surveys, the National Youth Tobacco Survey along with the Monitoring the Future.

According to data provided by kids in high school, the number of days they used e-cigarettes fell from 2016 to 2017 by between 23% and 29% as stated in the study by Wootton. Moreover, the number of smokers using conventional cigarettes fell 14% to 15%. The research study by Wotton found that throughout the 5-year period between 2011 to 2015, the adult start rate which is the proportion of 18-year-olds who are current smokers fell from 18.9% to 13%. Additionally, we use conservative assumptions when performing our sensitivity analysis. The estimates are 3x the number of people we predict will begin smoking as a result of vaping and 1/2 of the number of individuals who believe vaping will have a positive influence on quitting. Third place: This analysis uses three sensitivity analyses to estimate the mortality rate of former smokers who ceased using vaping (those who had already quit smoking and were not using vaping) compared to the mortality rate of former smokers who stopped smoking completely. Half of those who stop smoking to use e-cigarettes to continue doing so over the long term are estimated to remain vaping; in this scenario, the benefit is therefore half of what it was when they quit smoking. Meanwhile, those who stopped after only a few attempts forwent an additional 20% of the advantage (Wootton, 2020). This represents around one-third of all of the people who have ever done vaping to stop, and just one-third of former smokers who have tried to use vaping to stop have stuck with it.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over one million people die each year from smoking-related ailments. People in the US are more prone to smoke when it comes to mental health issues, such as schizophrenia as well as depression. Research conducted in the United Kingdom found that 40% to 45% peoplewho have schizophrenia or significant depression smoke, whereas studies conducted in Germany found that 20% to 25% of this population smokes. Smoking is worse for those who have mental health issues than for the general population. While there are benefits due to mental health, many of these gains can be accounted by diseases related to smoking. Therefore, understanding the connection between smokings with the mental health is crucial (Challap, 2019).

Smoking Cessation

However, when considering evidence that some people believe that smoking is an effective means of relieving symptoms of mental illness, it can be inferred that the causal relationship is most often explained using a model of the self-medication, meaning that mental illness symptoms or the psychiatric drugs side effects are reduced by the qualities of tobacco. Despite having no direct evidence to show that smoking causes mental health issues, indirect evidence is free of confounding influences, thereby supporting the idea that smoking causes mental health issues. PGC states that the CHRNA5-A3-B4 gene cluster was associated with a higher risk of developing schizophrenia as stated in the study by Haardörfer. There appears to be a promotion of excessive smoking with these lifts. As an explanation to this argument, it might be demonstrated that smoking is likely to contribute to the development of schizophrenia.

Figure 4 stats for schizophrenia

Study has found that those who smoke are also more likely to develop schizophrenia as well as depression, thus additional research should be done to establish if there is a causal link. Schizophrenia appears to be associated with smoking, according to findings uncovered by a recent prospective observational research that takes into consideration the role of genetics and environment. A meta-analysis indicated that those who smoke had a larger likelihood of developing schizophrenia, while individuals who quit smoking also have less severe levels of sadness stated by Haardörfer. From the limited number of research undertaken, it looks as though there is an impact owing to the research; however the researches are insufficiently solid. In other words, further investigation is required to learn more about the issue.

The smoking material doesn’t not matter as all type of smoke is dangerous for health. In the product of Tobacco, there is no safe substance which does not harm people's health which includes the he person who is smoking as well as the people who lives near to those people. Smoking is just not put an effect on mental health it also put an effect on physical impact. A variety of complications are seen by smoking as this affects the system of the body for the long term. There are lots of the disease are obtained in the body which is danger. And mostly this affects the lungs of the human; a system of the respiratory goes damage if any person does daily smoking. Tobacco is, directly and indirectly, harming the body of the human stated by Challap. Some people for avoiding the smoke cigarette, they get addicted to other types of smoking such as cigars, pipes, and hookah. But all these things are the same types dangerous for the health. There are 600 ingredients are containing by the cigarette which is also found in the cigar and hookah. When someone burns the ingredients then they found something 7000 new chemicals which are harmful to the lungs, this data are taken from the research association of the American lung. These chemicals mostly are a danger for the health and some of them like up to 67 chemicals are directly linked with cancer (Haardörfer. 2018).

In the different body part of human smoking affect differently following points will cover mostly area which is more dangerous for lung disease such as system of the central is when there is a drug that comes in the product of smoking which name is nicotine this ingredient reaches the brain in just a few seconds and make feel more energized but only for that time after sometime when they did not take this drug this will increase their mental stress, and brain just need that drug. This drug is very habit-forming and this drug is very hard to quit. In research, this was found that some doctors recommend drug neocortex for lifting the cigarette addiction. System of the respiratory is when someone inhales the smoke then they take many of the substance in their body which is used for damage the lungs as stated by Pietrangelo. Over the period this damage of the lungs creates different types of other problems such as infection in the body, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and lung cancer. This is also put an impact on the child's respiratory system whose parents smoking.

Affect on the system of the cardiovascular due to smoking, the system of cardiovascular damage and drug of the nicotine causes different problems like it tight the vessels of the blood and that impact on the flow of the blood. After some time, it damages the blood vessel and the name of that disease is the peripheral artery. Blood pressure is also increased due to smoking because its weeks the vessels of the blood that increase the clots of the blood as mentioned in the research study by Pietrangelo And effect on the system of the integumentary as in this system smoking affects the skin, nails, and hair of the human. The color of the skin changes as time goes by smoking changes the structure of the skin. After some study and reviewing the kinds of literature, this is found that smoking increases the risk of skin cancer; there is no treatment for skin cancer (Pietrangelo, 2019). Also it has affect on the system of the digestive as smoking increases the risk of cancer of the throat, mouth, and larynx. This is the rate in the high amount that everyone who is addicted to smoking is very less active in the other activities. Some of them are living alone. Loneliness becomes a great impact on the health of the human.

Figure 5 effect on lungs

This smoking apart from the above risks many more parts of the body gets affected. Such smoking decreases the sexuality time of the person who is usually smoking and gets addicted to smoking. The female reproductive system also get affected by the smoking severely In the ovary of the female, it creates cancer by which this could be operating, and then the whole ovary is out from the body and they never birth any child as stated in the report of better health.

There are so many ways of quitting smoking and which is necessary for health. There is lots of the negative effect on the health of smoking there is a therapy which should help quit the smoke name of the therapy is the replacement of the nicotine. This is the first method that should be used by smokers who quitting the smoke. The second most used method is avoiding the triggers and delay in taking a smoke. After smoking they should chew so it should be not creating addiction. They have to think from the mind create a mindset of not using it. They have to create a timetable for suggesting the system into their task which should be compulsory to the people who are addicted to the smoke as stated in the report of better health..

From the various research studies, it was found that the some data in which compared incidence with the complications and rate of the survival is greater than the people who are smoking. There are so many campaigns are run for stopping smoking and many factors of the success are seen for stopping the smoke. Problems are identified by using the main methods such kinds of the methods are described in the methodology part of the report. This should be considered the lots of the data which is used for the searching of the articles that create frameworks such as there need to complete the task according to the strategy of the design which is used for making the report of the system that compete the task of the smokers. As the number of the smokers is found as they succeed in the stopping of smoking and get the challenges to not show the full confidence to the system. Stopping of the smoking is very necessary for the people of the youth they are more addictive (Better health, 2021).

Figure 6 complications of smoking

Also it has been seen that the adults who use marijuana often also tend to be heavy smokers of tobacco stated in the study by the Berg. He also stated that an estimated 41% to 94% users also smoke cigarettes. Concurrent usage is called simultaneous usage. These are popular modalities in which users are engaging concurrently: for example, blunts or joints. However, research has not identified whether or not tobacco and marijuana were used together. Tobacco with marijuana use has a synergistic interaction, which may sometimes be achieved by both psychological and physiological mechanisms. Although individuals desire to smoke, when they use marijuana, the rise in the want to smoke was offset by the decrease in the want to consume marijuana as stated in the same report. Tobacco use facilitated their urge to smoke, and using cigarettes as a coping method further compounded the problem. Seventy-five percent of individuals reported using both drugs simultaneously and three-quarters of individuals reported using cigarettes to extend and prolong the effects of marijuana. The findings may help explain why people use tobacco and marijuana simultaneously, but there may be other reasons why people use both simultaneously that have yet to be uncovered. Research is important especially when the simultaneous and contemporaneous usage of cigarettes and nicotine and marijuana presents the opportunity to cause an increased chance of cigarette use and the increased risk of nicotine and marijuana dependency (Berg, 2018).

There are numerous various forms of cessation of smoking, including: The combination of pharmacological and psychological procedures is becoming increasingly popular in the treatment of tobacco users wishing to stop.

Some elements, such as psychological, emotional, genetic and social effects, influence the choice to stop smoking. If they do study on these characteristics, they are better equipped to operate a cessation of smoking and may be helped by others to choose the patients for the scheme. They use different techniques with a larger relapse rate and a higher danger of retrogression than anticipated, to achieve further social and psychological breakthroughs. The history of quitting of smoking was a mixed bag for 76 percent of research participants and others. When the system stops, they calculate the situation externally in conjunction with smokers and subscribers. They must stop smoking because of their health worries; smoking is a slow-burning toxin that kills the person over time. The cross-sectional survey uses a strategy for the prediction of smoking, for example, based on the marital status of the participants, smokers' age and the length of time they use tobacco. Tests are conducted between the many types of personalities and temperaments of persons who want to stop smoking. The statistical importance does not mean that they carry out specific tasks between those who have not recovered in motivation and those who have recovered in motivation. In the motivated and unmotivated groups as well as between motivated and non-motivated people, the connection between smoking and their pattern is evident. It concerns both the profile of the individual's personality and smoking; it produces some unique therapies that depend on the individual's design and program.

This component of the strategy offers healthcare and smoking cessation workers advice, nicotine replacement treatment and oral smoking cessation medication. Tobacco smoking is an alternative to the use of these products. It provides additional innovation and experience to the smoking sector and should be utilized together with other technologies. Some health care professionals act as violets in the tobacco awareness program, helping smokers by providing knowledge that will make it easier for them to stop. The results of a study show that smokers have access to a center to inform and increase awareness about the causes of smoking. As a family medical practice centre, they provide counseling on smoking cessation and are assessed based on the sources of knowledge they have in connection to the training they get formally. They utilize the 5As approach to test their understanding by asking them several questions. Include five of them in your list. The first stage is to investigate the use of tobacco and to counsel people who are presently using it on ceasing, evaluating their readiness to quit, assisting with how to quit effectively, and lastly creating information about contacts.

The predictors of relapse include the usage of cigarettes. According to a study of one literature, smokers who rely more on the use of tobacco feel unhappy and less driven and they relapse more quickly than people who are less dependent on the use of nicotine. People with less motivation and sadness need more attention in quitting smoking and they need more psychological and social assistance from those already driven to succeed. Some people have designed a method to cope with these kinds of people, including yoga lessons, meditation, and depressed drugs, to encourage them more and to absorb good energy. In a condition of worry, tension increases and leads to violence at home and interpersonal relationships. The result of anxiety is not the same as the identification of the anxiety component that increases the smoking quitting rate and reduces the start rate. This can be done by providing them with nicotine to test whether they can stop smoking after they have stopped. This research also explores the link between the personality profile and the motivation to stop smoking. In view of the above assessment, it is suggested that they use the cessation of smoking and treat patients with nicotine tablets while doing psychological and mental examination. Anyone wanting to stop smoking and to have more relaxation should attend a health education class in their place of residence, where information is given on how to stop smoking effectively. Since some people in the community are not aware of these things, it is important to introduce the educational program in order to educate them. In order to do this, it is essential to identify the places in the village where such a program is needed and complete it at a high level of success. The Government supports these sorts of people to supply the finest technology to calculate the successive rate. There are a lot of misinterpreters in the mythology of abandonment who speak about it.

Smoking Awareness

Based on the above acquired data, it can be stated that the major cause of the having the smoking habits especially in the young age group is their work. Smoking has health effects in young individuals that can be short-term, including as symptoms associated with respiratory and non-respiratory nicotine addiction, as well as an increased likelihood of taking other substances. According to the findings of the studies, the majority of people who are young and have a smoking habit frequently continue to smoke into adulthood, which contributes to the long-term health effects of teenage smoking, are at risk. People who smoke cigarettes have more lung-related problems than those who do not smoke because smoking causes the lungs to develop at a slower rate than those who do not smoke.

Cigarette smokers in their forties and fifties are more likely to get heart disease and stroke as a result of their lifestyle. According to studies, early signs of a variety of illnesses have been discovered in children and adolescents who smoke cigarettes. Even among elite runners, smoking has a negative impact on young people's physical fitness, both in terms of performance and endurance, as well as on their overall health. Furthermore, it has been established that a person with a serious smoking habit has a 7-year shorter life expectancy when compared to a healthy one. Smokers who are still in their twenties have a heart beat ratio that is two to three beats per minute higher than non smokers' resting heart rate. While you begin smoking when you are young, you have a greater chance of developing lung cancer. In addition, the likelihood of getting most malignancies connected with smoking increases as a person continues to smoke consistently. In addition, teen smokers experience breath shortness three times more frequently than non smokers, and phlegm develops more than twice as frequently in smokers as in non smokers.

According to one study, individuals who smoke are also more prone to acquire schizophrenia as well as depression; thus, further research should be conducted to see if there is a causal relationship between smoking and schizophrenia and depression. According to the findings of a new prospective observational study that took into account the impact of genetics and environment, smoking appeared to be related with schizophrenia in certain individuals. People who smoke have a higher risk of getting schizophrenia, according to one meta-analysis, whereas people who quit smoking had lower levels of depression. Based on the small number of studies that have been conducted, it appears that the studies have had an influence; nevertheless, the studies have not been adequately rigorous. In other words, further study is necessary in order to have a better understanding of the problem.

So there is high chances that the young people who have severe smoking habits might develop schizophrenia later in their lives as it was indicated that nicotine, whether in the form of cigarettes or in other forms, may be able to assist normalize the cognitive as well as sensory impairments experienced by persons who have this condition. Scientists have probed the interior of the brain in order to identify regions responsible for schizophrenia-related deficits, as well as the process of nicotine which helps to alleviate these symptoms. Scientists are now able to create medicines to cure this severe illness as a result of increased understanding.

Many area of brain are those that are engaged in learning and remembering. In several of these areas, including the cortex, hippocampus, and cells which wrap around the thalamus, people with schizophrenia have fewer and worse functioning nicotinic receptors. According to research, nicotine may help to alleviate the sensory impairments associated with schizophrenia by boosting inadequate chemical dopamine level in regions of the brain such as the nucleus accumbens along with prefrontal cortex, which are both involved in decision-making.

The results of recent study into the nicotine effects on persons suffering from schizophrenia are beginning to provide answers to these concerns and reveal hints that may aid in the treatment of this dangerous illness. Aspects of schizophrenia include abnormal thinking, like many faced issues such as hearing voices, and seeing delusions like paranoid ideas that other people are working against you. The affects of schizophrenia around 1% of the population and imposes a significant financial and social cost on people who are affected, their families, as well as society as a whole.

It makes no difference what they are smoking; smoking is harmful to one's health. There is no safe chemical found in tobacco products that does not endanger the health of consumers. Both the individual who is smoking and the one who is in close proximity to the smoker are at risk for their respective health. Smoking not only has a negative influence on mental health, but it also has a negative impact on physical health. Due to the fact that smoking has a long-term effect on the body's system, it is associated with a number of problems. There are several diseases that have been acquired in the body, all of which are dangerous. A person who smokes on a regular basis will suffer from lung damage, which will be more severe if the individual does so on a regular basis. Tobacco has a negative impact on the human body, both directly and indirectly. Several people develop a dependence on alternative forms of smoking in order to avoid cigarette smoking.

These include cigars, pipes, and hookah tobacco. However, all of these things are the same sorts of things that are harmful to one's health. Smoking has 600 chemicals, which are also found in cigars and hookahs, and they are all harmful to your health. When someone burns the components, they discover something new, including 7000 new compounds that are hazardous to the lungs, according to statistics from the Research Association of the American Lung Association (RAALA). The majority of these chemicals are harmful to one's health, and some of them, such as up to 67 substances, are directly related to the development of cancer.

Smoking cessation

This section is defining the methods of stopping the users to take the tobacco. Some included methods are interventions of pharmacological and psychological, factors affecting the cessation of smoking, workers of health care and smoking cessation, and predictors of relapse the tobacco smoking. The following points are discussed in the detail.

  1. In the intervention of the pharmacological and psychological are adding for the treatment of users who wants to stop tobacco. The literature of Bolloger et al. performed some trials to evaluate the efficiency and tolerability of the smokers in the 11 countries in which one country included is Egypt. The rate of continuous abstinence becomes high than the last 9th to 12th week of the administrator in comparison to the placebo. Till 24th week this rate of the data will be maintained if they don’t stop drinking the tobacco. Smokers in Egypt take some efficacious and apparently to the well-tolerated method. In the one of literature, the author defines that the abstinence rate of smokers is decreasing from the 9th week due to using nicotine patches. After six months it will decrease up to 25.8% if they continuously use this patch. According to the survey around 47% of Egyptians wants to quit smoking and three months after there is program conduct in which they take counselling of the people. According to the literature review, all these interventions become helpful for quitting and stop smoking (Ratih and Susanna, 2018).

  1. In the cessation of smoking some factors affect such as psychological, personal, genetic, and social factors. When they do a study on these factors, they are ware about conducting the program of smoking cessation and for this program, they can take help into the selecting the patients. To receive the additional social and psychological inventions they are using some methods which relapse and risk of the relapse are higher than expected. The previous record of the smoking cessation mixed up to 76% of the study and their participants. They compute it externally mixed with the smokers and subscriptions to analyse the system stops. Due to health concerns, they have to stop smoking; smoking kills the person slowly-slowly. In the survey of the cross-sectional, they are using a formula for predicting the method such as quitting the smoking that is based on the status of martial, age of the smokers and use of tobacco duration. Testing performs in between the types of personality and temperament of the quitting the smoke. The significance of the statistical does not become any difference they perform some tasks between the non-relapsed of motivation and relapsed of motivation. Correlation of the smoking and their pattern is found in between the two groups such as motivated and non-motivated. They are concerned about the profile of personality and smoking; they develop some treatment of innovative which depends on the design and program of the individuals.

  1. Workers of health care and smoking cessation, this part of the method provide the counselling, therapy of the nicotine substitution and medication of the oral smoking cessation. These are the alternative to tobacco smoking. It increases the innovation or experiences into the smoking area which should be combined with some other technology. In the healthcare department, some employees are worming as violet ears in the program of awareness of tobacco, they helping the smokers for providing knowledge so they can easily quit. One study finds that a centre is open for smokers to provide information and awareness about the cause of smoking name The centre is a family medicine practice centre, they provide counselling of the smoking cessation and assessed based on the sources of knowledge that regarding the training which provides them with formal way. For assessing their knowledge, they ask them some multiple-choice questions with the approach of the 5As. Include 5 A is first to ask about the use of tobacco, advice about quitting the users, assess to attempt about making the willingness, assist about the successful quit smoking and last one is arrange the contacts (Tahir, 2018).

  1. Predictors of relapse the tobacco smoking, in the study of one literature that is found that smokers who were more dependent on the smoking they are used to it and they feel depressed, less motivated, and relapse them in the high rate. The person who are less motivated and depressed need some more attention to quitting smoking and they have to receive some additional psychological and social support from the people who are already motivated. Sometimes some people developed a plan for these types of people by providing them some yoga classes, some meditation, and a depressed pill so they get motivated to them and take some positive energy. State of anxiety; increase the level of stress which starts violence at the home and in between the relationships. The result of the anxiety is not defining the trait of anxiety that increases the rate and cessation of smoking. This can be examining the maintenance of smoking cessation by providing them the addition of nicotine. This study also explains the correlation between the profile of personality and motivation for quitting smoking. Based on the above review of the literature this is recommended that to do the assessment of psychological and psychiatric they have to use the cessation of smoking and treat the people by giving them nicotine tablets. The person who needs more relaxation and wants to quit smoking should go to the program of health education and home where they provide some knowledge on how to quitting smoking. The education program is very necessary to open for educating the people in the village some peoples are not aware of such kind of things so they have to find out the area where the need of such kind program and complete it with success rate. The government gives some help of these kinds of people for giving best method to the successive rate. Several measures are discussing in the mythology of the desertion (Fouda, et al. 2018).

Results

Based on the data analysis done in the above section various points has been discusses such as According to data provided by high school students, the number of days they smoked e-cigarettes decreased between 2016 and 2017, by between 23 percent and 29 percent, according to a study conducted by Wootton and colleagues. Furthermore, the proportion of smokers who use traditional cigarettes has decreased from 14 percent to 15 percent. According to the findings of the Wotton research study conducted between 2011 and 2015, the adult start rate, which is the proportion of 18-year-olds who are current smokers, decreased from 18.9 percent to 13 percent over the course of five years. In addition, when completing our sensitivity analysis, we make conservative assumptions about the data. The projections are three times the number of people who we expect would start smoking as a result of vaping, and half the number of people who feel vaping will have a beneficial influence on stopping smoking. Last but not least, this research utilises three sensitivity analyses to determine the mortality rate of former smokers who stopped using vaping (those who had already quit smoking but were not using vaping) as compared to the mortality rate of former smokers who entirely stopped smoking. Most people who quit smoking to use e-cigarettes do so for the long haul, and the benefit is half of what it was when they first started. People who stopped after a few attempts, on the other hand, lost out on an additional 20% of the benefit (Wootton, 2020). This represents around one-third of all of the people who have ever used vaping to quit smoking, and only one-third of former smokers who have tried to use vaping to quit smoking have succeeded.

According to one study, persons who smoke are also more prone to acquire schizophrenia as well as depression; therefore, additional research should be conducted to see if there is a causal link between smoking and schizophrenia and depression. According to the findings of a new prospective observational study that took into account the influence of genetics and environment, smoking appeared to be connected with schizophrenia in some individuals. It was discovered through a meta-analysis that those who smoke have a higher risk of getting schizophrenia, while those who quit smoking have lower levels of depression, according to Haardörfer. Based on the small number of studies that have been conducted, it appears that the studies have had an influence; however, the studies have not been adequately rigorous. In other words, additional inquiry is required in order to gain a better understanding of the problem.

It makes no difference what kind of tobacco is used to smoke because all tobacco smoke is harmful to one's health. There is no safe chemical in tobacco products that is not harmful to people's health, which includes both the individual who is smoking and the people who live in close proximity to those who are smoking. Smoking not only has a negative influence on mental health, but it also has a negative impact on physical health. Due to the fact that smoking has a long-term effect on the body's system, it is associated with a variety of difficulties. There are numerous diseases that have been acquired in the body, all of which are dangerous. A person who smokes on a regular basis will suffer from lung damage, which will be particularly severe if the individual does so on a regular basis. According to Challap, tobacco has a negative impact on the human body both directly and indirectly. Several people develop a dependence on alternative forms of smoking in order to avoid cigarette smoking. These include cigars, pipes, and hookah tobacco. However, all of these things are the same types of things that are harmful to one's health. Smoking has 600 chemicals, which are also found in cigars and hookahs, and they are all harmful to your health. When someone burns the ingredients, they discover something new, including 7000 new compounds that are damaging to the lungs, according to statistics from the Research Association of the American Lung Association. The majority of these chemicals are harmful to one's health, and some of them, such as up to 67 substances, are directly connected to the development of cancer.

Based on this, smoking cessation methods were presented as well such as when it comes to treating tobacco smokers who want to stop, the use of pharmaceutical and psychological therapies is becoming more widespread. There are a variety of factors that influence a person's decision to stop smoking cigarettes, including psychological, emotional, genetic, and societal impacts. When they do a study on these qualities, they will be better equipped to organise a smoking cessation programme, and they will be able to engage the support of others in the process of selecting the patients who will be participating in the programme. The additional social and psychological inventions are being acquired by the use of various treatments with a higher than predicted relapse rate and a higher risk of relapse than expected. They test their knowledge using the 5As approach, which consists of giving them a series of multiple-choice questions regarding the subject matter. Include 5 A is the first step in inquiring about tobacco use, followed by counselling on quitting for users, an assessment of willingness to attempt to quit smoking, assistance on successfully quitting smoking, and the final step in setting up contact information for those who have expressed an interest. Tobacco usage is one of the relapse predictors.

As a result, smokers who are more dependent on tobacco use report feeling depressed and less motivated, and they relapse more frequently than smokers who are less dependent on tobacco use, according to one study of published literature. In order to be successful at quitting smoking, people who are less motivated and depressed require more attention, and they must receive additional psychological and social support from those who are already motivated. Certain approaches to coping with these types of people have been developed, including providing them with yoga courses, meditation, and a depression medication, in order for them to become more motivated and absorb more positive energy.

Conclusion and limitation

Even though tobacco smoking has been demonstrated to have significant negative health consequences for decades, no evidence of a different outcome has been discovered in the most recent research throughout that time period. A total of over major population distinct chemical components may be found in tobacco smoke, with major of them having been proven to be carcinogenic in either animals or humans. Lung cancer, esophageal cancer, laryngeal cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and cervical cancer are all instances of malignancies in which cigarette smoking has been linked to the disease. Cigarette smoking has been linked to a number of other diseases, including coronary disease, atherosclerosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, infection, and infertility. Cigarette smoking has also been linked to a number of other diseases, including infection, atherosclerosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, coronary disease, and infertility. According to the most recent estimates, around 1 billion people smoke worldwide today.

Thus, this study demonstrated the literature review with the various factors behind the smoking habits, effects of smoking on the human body, withdrawal symptoms faced after leaving smoking and other factors. It also illustrated about the impact of e-cigarette which provides nicotine to the user while also mimicking the sensory and motor consequences of smoking (intake and hand gestures), while preventing the user from inhaling the carcinogens found in tobacco. However, no conclusive evidence has been found to support the use of e-cigarettes to help people stop smoking, despite the fact that this might have a number of benefits. It is beneficial from a neurobiological as well as a habitual perspective to stop smoking. Electronic cigarettes minimize the chance of lethality and mortality since they do not use combustion, as opposed to traditional cigarettes. Proponents of the use of e-cigarettes argue that this allows them to be used as a harm-reduction approach because of the lack of nicotine in them. However, the veracity of this claim is debatable. There is no doubt that they are an effective smoking cessation tool, but the evidence supporting this claim is conflicting.

Furthermore, it conducts the data analysis for different factors as illustrated in the methodology from the articles and journals collected from different sources and the result of which has been evaluated which defines that the major smoking habits are among the youths who are in working profession as well as students. Based on the results obtained from the collected data, this study will summarize the gathered data together with the cessation strategies that could help the person with severe smoking habits and the methods to deal with the symptoms of withdrawal that occur after leaving smoking. The planned study would provide smoking cessation strategies based on survey data to help people quit smoking. The results of this study will help develop innovative smoking cessation strategies to break the habit of smoking, on the basis of data collected from the various age groups of the survey, which will be utilized to build the methods. However, certain issues may arise, including the fact the collected data are from specific sources so provided smoking cessation method may not be applied for different kind of demography.
