The foundation is aiming for its continuous expansion so that it can become a leading voice in this field of contributing in the good health of the people. The campaign will create the awareness among people about their good health and healthy lifestyle (Sharma et al., 2021).

Task 1

Objective of the project

The reports aim at outlining the requirements and how to execute the event which is called as London Marathon Foundation Open Air Fitness Event in association with Oxford Business College Charity. The projects tend to inspire the children and adult for having a better health and a good lifestyle (Melnyk et al., 2020). The event also wants to show the successful collaboration with the Green House Sports. The comprehensive project management plan can ensure smooth flow of the event with goal fulfilment.

Deliverable of the project

The project deliverable includes a well-managed event, having 100% participation, the event also includes participation of various stakeholder that includes the advertisers, NGO, sports equipment suppliers, suppliers, logistics partner and guests of honours. The deliverable also includes right management for the players including their hospitality and transportation facility overall there is a need for a smooth conduct of the event (Bladen et al., 2022)

Project management and its methodologies

Project management refers to the process of creating a plan and managing the event from paper to its actual implementation in a successful manner. It includes maximum utilisation of resources with minimum wastage and confusion.

There are different methodologies which can be used for creating a project as per the needs and requirement of the project every project needs a special process so that thig can get completed easily without rush (Thesing et al 2021). The most common methodologies for such kind of plans are

  1. Waterfall Methodology: The approach involves work in a sequential manner where the tasks are divides into the linear order and each stage should be completed before starting another. It is beneficial for the projects having huge event one after the other it reduces the confusion. It is not suitable for shorter project having less work

  2. Scrum Methodology: the approach includes breaking the huge process into simpler cycles the model is quick, collaborative and adaptable to changes. It is not suitable for the linear projects

  3. Agile methodology: the methodology aims at including changes during the process of implementing the plan. It is suitable for the plan which does not have the fixed outlines and does not have the fixed schedule.

Recommended methodology

The recommended methodology is the waterfall method as it is most appropriate for project construction it will allow the linear follow up of the schedule which is essential part of implementing the project work, the stakeholder will also get the required amount of attention through this model. It can ensure a consistent progress and measurable outcomes (Senarath et al., 2021).

Example of this methodology

For any electronic manufacturing company, they use this model for implementation of the process where the main goa is to complete the production of the product in a certain quantity and by ensuring the quality standards (Jayadinata et al., 2024). The strategy would begin from collecting of raw material to finally packaging the goods for further sales.

Task 2

Network Diagram

Network diagram is a visual representation of a network showing the relation between different elements of the network and how they are connected. In project management this s considered as an important tool for understanding the models.

Critical Path

Gantt chart

Gantt chart is a tool that shows a project timeline and task in a horizontal ar chart for better representation.

Task 3

Stakeholder Matrix

Stake holder matrix refers to the tool of project management which is used for coordinating with the different stakeholders associated with the project. The tool also identifies the priority on the basis of which the manager can decide the best strategy to deal with each group of stakeholders (Bahadorestani et al., 2020). It can clearly show the interest and power of the stakeholders both internal and external.

Task 4

Work breakdown structure

The structure helps to define the tasks and the projects by breaking it into smaller groups for better management (Anggraini et al.,2021)

Conclusion

With the help of project management, the event can be organised successfully by considering the needs and wants of the stakeholders. Calculating the risk and by ensuring the quality. Using the waterfall methodology, we can do the task in most efficient manner (Klever et al., 2021). The LMF open air fitness event in association with Oxford Business School would be able to achieve the motive of welfare and inspiring the youth towards a better health.
