Abstract
The goal of an organisation is to achieve better results by having employees commit to its goals. This can be done through the feeling of belonging to the company and the dedicated work that they perform. The study conducted on the impact of employee commitment on the performance of Pepsi in the UK looked into the matter. The study used a descriptive design to collect the data. The information was gathered from Pepsi Co., and a pilot study was conducted to analyse the reliability and validity of the instruments. Inferential and descriptive statistical methods were utilised to analyse the data. The study was conducted using a meta-analysis method to analyse the effects of employee commitment on an organisation's performance. The results of the study revealed that commitment is very important for an organisation to have great performance. It can be done through the feeling of belonging to the company and the dedicated work that they perform. Besides being able to provide a high level of support, committed employees also contribute to the organisation's productivity.
Keeping employees informed is very important for an organisation to maintain a high level of trust. Open and free communication is also very important for an organisation to foster an environment of trust. Employees should be allowed to provide innovative ideas and strategies in order to improve the communication process. It is also important for organisations to encourage their employees to develop better ideas and improve their performance by providing them with opportunities to make contributions. This paper aims to analyse the impact of employee commitment on an organisation's productivity in the UK. The concept of commitment refers to the willingness of an employee to make efforts for the company's benefit. The term commitment can be used to describe various aspects of an organisation's culture. It can be expressed as continuous commitment, affective commitment, and normative commitment. Affective commitment refers to an organisation's desire to develop, while normative commitment is about the obligation of employees to stay with the company.

Chapter 1- Introduction
1.1 Background of the research
The success of an organisation depends on its employees' efforts. This is evidenced by the fact that every task that an employee completes is counted as a part of the company's overall performance. In order to achieve its peak performance, an organisation must make sure that it has the right employees. Every organisation has its own goals, and employees must meet these goals to ensure that the company's success continues. They must also work with the entrepreneur responsible for the organisation's success to reach them. Employees consider working for a successful company to be a great opportunity to earn a well-paying job, as well as various benefits and advancement opportunities (Ali and Anwar, 2021).Having committed employees can help an organisation save a lot of time and money by allowing it to hire and train new staff members. It can also boost the customer satisfaction of the company by preventing it from providing services. One of the most important factors that an organisation must consider is the commitment of its employees. The concept of commitment refers to the psychological immersion of an individual into a company's culture through the possession of its goals and the feeling of belonging. It is very important for an organisation to create this type of commitment among its workers in order to achieve its goals.
The level of commitment exhibited by an employee is directly related to the company's performance. It can help an organisation achieve its goals and maintain its competitive advantage. Having high-level commitment is also beneficial for enhancing productivity and improving the efficiency of an organisation.Being able to prepare and retain employees who are committed to working hard is very important for an organisation to grow. This is because they will perform their duties with dedication and commitment, which will help the company improve its efficiency.Every employee must understand the expectations of the company and the results that he or she contributes to in order to improve the organisation's performance (Arasanmi and Krishna, 2019). Fostering a culture of motivation can help an organisation reach its goals and improve its efficiency.A strong labour force is also important for an organisation as it allows employees to understand the company's goals and values. Having a culture of motivation can additionally help an individual reach their goals. According to studies, the link between worker motivation and organisational commitment can be beneficial for both parties.
About the company
PepsiCo, Inc., a multinational corporation, is based in Purchase, New York. It produces, distributes, and markets various food and beverage products. The company was founded in 1965 following the merger of Frito-Lay and Pepsi-Cola. It has since expanded from its original product, Pepsi-Cola, to a variety of other brands (PepsiCo, 2023). The biggest acquisition in 2020 was Pioneer Foods' purchase of the Quaker Oats Company for US$1.1.7 billion. Prior to this, the company had acquired the Gatorade brand and the Tropicana Products label.
1.2 Problem statement
There are many factors that can affect an employee's performance, and it is important to consider them all when it comes to increasing their commitment to their employer. High commitment can help an employee participate in the management of their work, as well as the execution of their tasks. Although studies have shown that employees are more committed to their work when they are given the opportunity to develop a positive work environment, they did not provide a clear understanding of how this can be achieved (Chen et al., 2021). This is why it is important that executives are knowledgeable about the various factors that influence their employees' commitment. An organisation's success is greatly affected by its employees, who are committed to doing whatever it takes to reach its goals. This is because they are genuinely satisfied with their work.
1.3 Research question
- What is the importance of an employee's commitment towards the organisation?
- What is the impact of employee commitment on Pepsi's performance?
- What can be the factors that will help the company enhance the employee’s commitment?
1.4 Research aim
The aim of the research is to analyse the impact of employees' commitment on the company's performance in Pepsi co from the past five years.
1.5 Research objective
• To determine the importance of employee commitment towards the organisation.
• To analyse the trends analysis of employee commitment over a period of five years.
• To find out the strategies that can improve the commitment of an employee towards the organisation.
1.6 Research rationale
Although scholars have focused on the various factors that can affect a person's commitment, it is still important to note that these studies have failed to analyse the multiple other factors that can influence a person's moral behaviour and participation. This is why it is important that employees and managers are able to identify these factors (Ciobanu et al., 2019). Managers have tried various strategies to improve their staff's commitment, and this has not resulted in any effective results. This is because there is a lack of research on the subject, as well as Pepsi Company's commitment factor. Human resource management professionals and academicians have long recognised the importance of organisational commitment, which is regarded as one of the most important factors that employers consider when it comes to hiring and retaining employees. High levels of commitment can lead to various positive results. Workers become committed to a company due to various reasons. These include an attachment to its values, a sense of obligation, and the knowledge of the costs involved in leaving the organisation. Organisations can benefit from committed employees. Employees are expected to perform their duties and contribute to the company's operations in a more effective and efficient manner (Hughes and Barlo, 2021). Some researchers believe that organisational commitment negatively affects turnover intentions. To address this issue, a study was conducted to analyse the effects of commitment on the performance of textile firms in the UK.
1.7 Research structure
The first section of the research will introduce the reader to the study's objectives and provide a brief history of the project. The next section will talk about the theoretical analysis of the study. The concluding section of the research will provide an overview of the project's philosophy and the various steps that it will take to complete the study.
Chapter 2- Literature review
2.1 Introduction
A literature review is an academic writing piece that aims to demonstrate one's understanding of academic literature on a particular topic. It also includes a critical analysis of the material, which makes it different from a literature report. A literature review is a process that involves reviewing the literature. It can be described as a different kind of writing than a reporting article. For instance, film and television review articles often contain content such as a short synopsis and the critic's evaluation. The main objective of a literature review is to provide an overview of the current research and theories on a particular topic and to discuss the content. It also aims to provide a critical analysis of the materials (Palm et al., 2020). Most people make commitments because they believe that they will get something of value in exchange for their commitment. This is because commitments usually involve time and emotional and psychological energy. A multi-faceted perspective on worker commitment is beneficial for organisations as it can help them identify areas of their operations where they can improve their performance. For instance, determining multiple aspects of commitment beyond the organisation can help them develop effective strategies and methods to improve their performance.
2.2 The importance of employee commitment towards the organisation
According to PepsiCo, its net revenue grew by about 7.7% during the first quarter of 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company's 2020 financial outlook has changed (Pham et al., 20119). The company noted that the pandemic could be beneficial for the food and beverage industry, but it could be a negative one for the beverage industry. Through its various phases, PepsiCo was able to identify the multiple ways it could react to the changes brought about by the pandemic. The company's CEO said that its reaction will depend on the market. He noted that the various changes caused by the pandemic will vary across different regions. For instance, in developed countries, people are going through various emotional and behavioural changes as they adapt to the new reality of their lives. To address these changes, PepsiCo has identified four phases that it could implement. These include preparing for and preventing the outbreak, restricting recovery, cocooning and confinement, and a "new normal" (Tabuena et al., 2021). The company will also look into the various factors that affect its channel operations and marketing efforts. For instance, the second phase of customers in developed markets is beginning to impact the beverage industry.
According to Teo et al. (2020), as the second phase of customers begins to affect the beverage industry, they are starting to shift their consumption habits. They are also going to be more likely to consume at home. According to the company, this group of consumers has also changed their consumption patterns from restaurants and gas stations. The company's profitability and revenue in the U.S. have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Although the changes that have been observed in the consumer environment have not yet been fully realised, PepsiCo noted that people are more likely to consume breakfast and snacks during the day due to the increased time they spend at home. An organisation's performance can be greatly affected by commitment. It can be defined as a feeling of obligation to the group, as well as a willingness to meet the goals of the organisation. In times of adversity, dedication to the task and team can be more significant. When problems occur, it is the best time to assess the commitment of the team members. The strength of the team can be enhanced by the presence of moral and human values. Doing things under compulsion can also lead to the opposite outcome. In this study, we look into the effects of worker commitment on the performance of cement firms in the UK. Most of the time, the passion for analysing commitment comes from the fear that the consequences of the behaviour will affect the company's efficiency. This study also focuses on the impact of dedication on the turnover rate and organisational effectiveness (Hariyonyoto et al., 2019). The study utilised both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyse the effects of worker commitment on the performance of cement firms. The results of the study revealed that the level of commitment of the workers of cement firms is very high. There is also a strong relationship between the company's performance and the commitment of the team members. Some of the suggestions that were made included the establishment of clear and realistic work policies and procedures and the recruitment of workers who are most likely to become part of the company's future.
2.3 The trends analysis of employee commitment over a period of five years.
Azzukhruf et al. (2019) pointed out that clear communication is essential to ensure that workers are in alignment with the company's objectives and vision. It can help them feel motivated and engaged. Transparency regarding both profits and strategies is also crucial to building employee trust and improving their performance. This can also help employees develop better decision-making skills and contribute to the success of the company. The organisation can do this by organising monthly profit meetings, keeping the top management apprised of the latest developments, and providing newsletters with crucial updates. These steps will keep the organisation's goals clear.
According to Putra et al. (2021), a well-designed job can also help an organisation achieve its goals. It can increase employee loyalty and satisfaction, and it can help decrease absenteeism and turnover rates. One of the best ways to implement this strategy is by having job rotation, wherein staff members can take on different positions. Job simplification is a process that involves making the workflow easier. Job enlargement, on the other hand, provides an opportunity for advancement and broadens one's scope of responsibilities. Job enrichment entails team bonding and training, and some strategies can make the job more exciting and meaningful. As employees, it is our responsibility to feel valued and accepted by others. Large organisations are known to have a skewed composition, with minority groups feeling unwelcome and excluded. A survey conducted by Harris Interactive revealed that 39% of workers would not consider joining a company if it did not have inclusiveness. A lack of belonging can affect an employee's commitment and happiness. Being included and heard can help boost workers' morale and make them feel more engaged.
Thaenthao (2021) stated that work satisfaction is regarded as the main factor that can affect an employee's commitment and practical work, which are essential behaviours of an organisation. On the other hand, employees who are not paid for their efforts are more prone to intrinsic motivation. For companies to achieve exceptional results in the long run, their employees must be committed to the organisation's goals. Currently, workers are expected to deliver exceptional performances in both group and individual work. A firm cannot achieve its best results unless its employees are dedicated to the achievement of its objectives. Understanding the concept of commitment is also important for organisations as it allows them to transform theory into practice in order to improve their performance. Today, the workforce is filled with different opinions and attitudes. Some of these include the increasing support for human capital development and the continuous pursuit of soft skills (Soelton et al., 2020). Despite the various factors that can affect an organisation's performance, the main focus should still be on the core factors that are related to human demand. This is because, in order to achieve success, an organisation must fulfil the needs of its employees.
2.4 Effective strategies to improve employee's commitment towards the organisation
A study et al. (2022) explored that organisational commitment is a concept that refers to an employee's bond with their employer. It can be expressed by how committed they are to the company's goals and how they feel they fit in well with the team. The added value that an employee brings to the organisation is how productive they are and how helpful they are. The Effectors study revealed that certain factors can influence an employee's commitment to a company. These include the company's goals, the feeling of belonging to the organisation, and the work environment. To improve an employee's commitment, the organisation must identify these four influencers. They can help the company identify areas where it can make improvements and develop effective strategies. One crucial factor that an organisation should consider when it comes to trying to improve its commitment is having a clear goal. Knowing the organisation's objectives helps staff members make informed decisions and contribute to the success of the company. Having the necessary information helps staff members work more effectively and efficiently. It can also help minimise the time they spend on non-important matters (Paramita et al., 2020). An employee's energy can positively affect their performance, and organisations can benefit from this type of energy through the development and productivity of staff members. Being associated with an organisation helps staff members feel valued and supported, which can lead to them staying with the company for a long period of time. They also need a variety of environments to work in. Having a challenging work environment can boost staff members' sense of achievement and motivation.
2.5 Research limitations
The main limitation of this study is that it was unable to collect information about the participants due to the restrictions placed on the company. This prevented the researchers from properly gathering the data they needed to analyse the previous studies. Although the collected data will be used to analyse the previous studies, the author's bias might affect the results.
Chapter 3- Methodology
3.1 Introduction
Through this type of research, students can gain a deeper understanding of a certain subject. It can also assist them in collecting important data and in improving their work by taking corrective measures. This process can help them improve the efficiency of their project. Different types of research can also be conducted through qualitative or quantitative methods. In quantitative research, data is gathered to develop a plan for addressing the problem (Newman and Gough, 2020). On the contrary, in qualitative research, the researcher expands on the ideas that were presented. Conversely, the quantitative analysis seeks to ascertain a speculative conclusion based on the data gathered by other researchers. This research only utilises qualitative data.
Research onion method
In 2012, Saunders and his colleagues came up with the "research onion framework," which shows the various steps involved in carrying out a successful research project. The inner core is made up of the analysis and data collection elements, while the outer rings represent the aspects of the approach. Before starting a research project, it is important that the student has identified the main idea of the study (Pandey and Pandey, 2021). This step involves coming up with a design and strategy for the project. After that, it is important to choose the right time horizon and philosophy for the study. Data collection is the last step in the process. The philosophy of the researcher will also have an impact on the strategy, methods, and time horizon of the study.
3.2 Research philosophy
The objective of this study was to analyse the various aspects of a research topic using the philosophy of positivism. This philosophy aims to help the researcher be more effective in carrying out their work by making use of the multiple aspects of the research. In addition to being able to collect and interpret data, the researcher also has to make use of the observation method to gain a deeper understanding of the subject. Through the philosophy of research, the researcher can describe the various steps involved in the process of gathering and analysing data. It can also be used to ensure that the necessary information is gathered (Mishra and Alok, 2022). An interview approach is used in the study to gather data. This method will mainly focus on the qualitative aspects of the study. In order to improve the quality of the research, the researcher should identify the areas of the study where they should focus their attention. Through the use of this method, the researcher can also observe the changes in the participants' responses. The goal of the project is to analyse the relationship between social elements and subjective elements. This philosophy is different from doxology as it states that reality is complex and only subjective observations are capable of providing a complete understanding of its structure. With interpretivism, researchers can gain an unbiased scientific analysis.
Ontology and Epistemology
The mechanisms and structures that trigger events are linked. The concept of linkage refers to the idea that the events that occur are linked. Critical realism is an intellectual philosophy that focuses on how knowledge can be socially modified and imperfect. The process of reintroducing and abducting knowledge is both creative and systematic (Bleiker et al., 2019). The methodology of Critical Realist analysis is focused on identifying the various factors that can trigger specific actions and events, unlike positivist analysis, which does not look into the underlying causes. Instead, it tries to identify the factors that can affect these occurrences. The goal of the research approach is to plan and execute a process that involves collecting data, performing analysis, interpreting it, and carrying out the study. This method is very beneficial for the advancement of a project.
3.3 Research design
A systematic review is a crucial part of any research study, as it involves carefully evaluating the findings to ensure that they are both objective and accurate. This type of study was carried out through a mono-method approach, while the other method was used to gather data. The goal of the research is to collect and analyse data using a mixed approach (Psomas, 2021). This allows the researcher to utilise both approaches to gather information. An ontology of research is also used to help analyse the data and comprehend its significant findings. In a case of a hypothesis analysis, the researcher uses this method to examine the questions and come up with a theory.
3.4 Research approach
An inductive method is a process utilised to collect data. This allows the researcher to focus on the details of their findings and use established theories to obtain important information. On the other hand, a research approach involves creating assumptions that will allow them to gather data. This process can help identify the issue that the researcher is trying to solve (Lê and Schmid, 2022). During the literature review process, the researcher goes through the various references related to the topic to find the most relevant ones. Some of the most common sources that the researcher used for this study were PubMed, Google, and MSN. Databases help the researcher find reliable and authentic information sources.
3.5 Research Strategy
The process of developing a research strategy helps a researcher to methodically carry out a study in a manner befitting its goals. It also directs the study to be carried out in accordance with its stated objectives. In addition, the strategy entails the identification of the necessary data-gathering methods, as well as the organisation of the study. An exploratory approach is a type of research that involves asking questions that have never been explored before. This type of research can be conducted in a qualitative or quantitative manner (Liamputtong, 2020). It can be described as an interpretive study. Sometimes, an exploratory study is conducted to investigate a certain topic or idea that is not feasible or ideal due to the data-gathering process. This type of research can also be used to identify a general idea or a specific question that the researcher wants to pursue. However, there are no established guidelines or paradigms that allow the researcher to thoroughly study the subject.
3.6 Research techniques
The systematic review is a process utilised to gather information about a literature review. It can be done through the use of a variety of methods, such as the PARISA model. A mono-method study provides researchers with the opportunity to collect important data. Brand design can help researchers gain a deeper understanding of the way responses and thoughts are generated. When it comes to conducting studies, the researcher must ensure that the chosen research method is effective (Lassonde and Galman, 2019). When it comes to assessing the effectiveness of a particular research method, reliability and validity are important factors that can be taken into account. The goal of the systematic review is to find out what literature is related to the given research area.
Validity- The validity of a study is determined by how well its chosen methods identify the various parameters that are needed for the study. Another process that can be performed is by comparing the results of the study with those of the expected ones. In the evaluation of research, four main criteria are considered: scope, audience, format, and purpose. A literature review is then carried out to validate the methodology.
Reliability- The quality of the research methodology is also important when it comes to determining its effectiveness. Efficient methods can help researchers find relevant literature and produce results similar to those of their colleagues (Vaughn and Jacquez, 2020).
3.7 Data collection
The goal of a meta-analysis is to find out what factors influence the results of a literature review. This process can help improve the generalisability of a study. Another aspect of a meta-analysis is to identify the link between various outcomes. This process can help researchers develop new ideas and theories based on the collected data. Descriptive analysis, on the other hand, provides an overview of the data (Strijker et al., 2020). Once the research methodology has been established, it is important that the researcher gets started with the necessary steps, such as choosing the right data analysis strategy. Doing so can assist in developing a corrective procedure. By utilising primary and secondary data, the researchers can meet the study's requirements and produce an efficient and effective outcome.
3.8 Time-Horizon
Time horizons are layers that describe a certain period in time, and researchers can use them to collect data related to a specific study. They can also use them to analyse the results of the investigation. A cross-sectional time frame can be utilised by researchers to evaluate the outcomes of their studies, and they can use mono-methods to analyse the data. By doing this, students can gain a deeper knowledge of the state of affairs.
3.9 Sampling method
The survey will be conducted by an organisation's staff members, who will fill out a questionnaire. These individuals will then be contacted by e-mail and given the opportunity to provide information about the study.
Questionnaire
A survey questionnaire is an ideal tool for gathering information about a wide range of subjects. It can be used to develop effective promotional and marketing strategies. This method is very cost-efficient and can be conducted either through mail or online (Lee, 2022). Compared to observation, a survey questionnaire is more cost-effective and quicker to complete. They also require fewer people to contact to gather the data. Data analysis is performed quickly and easily, which is ideal for researchers who have deadlines.
3.10 Ethical consideration
There are various ethical issues that arise from conducting a study. One of these is how the participants' consent and privacy are violated. To address this issue, the researcher has developed a variety of methods that involve sending an e-mail message to the selected authors of the literature. This method will allow them to approve the study and collect data.

Chapter 4- Findings and discussion-
4.1 Introduction
This study's findings section provides an overview of the literature review, as well as a thematic evaluation. The study looked into the different factors that can affect workers' dedication. It focused on ways that employees can improve their commitment to their team. Today, it is very important that companies have a strong commitment to their workers. The individuals are expected to give their all to help the team members perform well. This can help boost the company's performance. A high level of commitment among employees can help a company achieve its goals and improve its performance. It is important that the organisation follows the best practices when it comes to employee retention (Jawaad et al., 2019). Some of these include having a favourable work environment and a motivated and dedicated workforce. The study analysed the various factors that can influence an employee's commitment. These include motivation, job satisfaction, and involvement. Workers want to work for a company that offers them a secure and lucrative job. If employees are unwilling to commit to the organisation, they will not be capable of contributing to its success, which can lead to the loss of skilled workers and the company's failure in the market. The study looked into these factors and analysed how they can affect an employee's performance. It can also help an organisation reduce turnover rates and improve its efficiency.
4.2 Key Findings/Results
As per the responses to the first question, it can be seen that the majority of the employees in the organisation are male, the other 40% are female, and the rest 10% address themselves as other.
The majority of 36.7% of people in the organisation are in the age cap of 18 to 25. The rest, 23%, are of the 45 to 55 age group, and the other 40 belong to 25 to 45, which indicates that the organisation has a balance of employees from every age group. They have the young generation as well as experienced employees over 45 to 55 age group.
With the responses of the research, it can be said that the majority of 33.3% of the workers in the organisation have an experience of hernia. The rest 30% have experience of 2 years at least in the organisation, 20% have more than four years of experience in the organisation, and the remaining 16% have three years of experience in the company. This indicates that the organisation has a good and skilled scale of employees.
As per the responses to the question, it can be seen that 60% of the majority of employees are uncertain about the fact that they have loyalty towards the organisation 23% of the employees said yes, they have loyalty towards the organisation, and the other 16% are the ones who does not have loyalty towards the organisation.
When asked does the organisation inspire employees to do their best, the majority of employees said yes, and those were 46% of them; the other 30% were not sure, and the remaining 23% said no.
As per the responses to the question regarding the focus of the organisation on customer satisfaction, the majority of over 43% of employees were not sure about it, the other 30% said yes, and the remaining 26% said no.
When asked are the employees were encouraged to be creative and the job, the majority of 30% strongly agreed, the other majority of 30% said yes, the remaining 13% were uncertain, and the other 20% disagreed.
As per the responses to the question, it can be said that the majority of 43.3% of the employees are not sure whether they are concerned about the fate of their organisation, the other 30% said yes, and the remaining 26% said no.
The responses to the question asked about the organisation's focus on the productivity of employees. The majority of 43% of responses were towards recognising hard work; the other 33% was towards focusing on employees' will, and the remaining 23% was for providing opportunities for professional development.
When are does the organisation has ideal work morale, 46% of the employee agreed to it, the other 23% were uncertain the remaining 23% disagreed.
4.3 Descriptive analysis
While employee commitment is not the only element that can affect a company's performance, it is an essential one. It can be used in various ways to improve the company's efficiency. The dedication of workers also helps determine the company's performance. The commitment of workers can help a company achieve its goals and improve its efficiency. This study was conducted to look into the factors that influence the dedication of workers (Ali and Anwar, 2021). It was able to collect data from 40 participants. The study was conducted using various tools, such as surveys and interviews. The results of the research revealed that worker commitment can have a negative impact on a company's performance. It also revealed that employee morale and productivity are affected by this factor. The study also looked into the various factors that can affect the dedication of workers. It focused on the ways that team members can improve their commitment. Today, employee commitment is very important for companies to have exceptional performance for a long time. The individuals are demanding to give their all in order to help the team perform well. These factors can help boost the level of commitment in the company.
Employees want to be part of a company that provides them with a secure job and a good income. If workers are not committed to the company, they will not be able to contribute to the company's success. This can lead to the loss of highly skilled individuals and the company's failure to compete in the market. High levels of commitment can help employees fulfil their obligations and contribute to the success of the organisation. To develop a strong commitment from its employees, an organisation must adopt the best practices for employee retention (Arasanmi and Krishna, 2019). These include having favourable attitudes, such as job involvement and job satisfaction, as well as having a motivated and committed workforce. It aims to provide an overview of the various factors that can influence the commitment of workers and their performance. Doing so can help an organisation improve its efficiency and reduce its turnover rates. This article will also help the organisation identify the factors that can influence its employee commitment. The study looked into the factors that can increase or influence commitment. These include job satisfaction, job involvement, and motivation.
4.4 Thematic analysis
4.4.1 employee commitment to organisation performance
One of the most important factors that an organisation has to consider when it comes to developing its culture is the building of commitment. This process involves analysing the various factors that influence an employee's performance. The focus of commitment is on the individual and group that an employee is attached to, while the motives behind creating attachment are also examined (Chen et al., 2021). The appraisal found that commitment from the management, the work group, and the organisation's social environment were some of the factors that influence an employee's job satisfaction. It also revealed that there is a link between job involvement and commitment. In 2018, employees' motivation and performance can be boosted by having high levels of commitment. This commitment will help the organisation achieve its goals and improve its overall performance.
The commitment of an employee can be used as a measure of an organisation's performance. For instance, an organisation is a component of a global economic system that is responsible for marketing systems, changes in resources, and demands from external competitors. To survive, the company needs to give its best. Measuring an organisation's performance is important to ensure that it is on track for success (Ciobanu et al., 2019). The concept of organisation performance refers to the transformation of inputs into outputs that are designed to achieve certain goals or desired outcomes. The factors that influence an organisation's performance include cost, efficiency, and output. The performance of an organisation is affected by the experiences of its employees and the commitment shown by them.
4.4.2 Employee commitment
The level of commitment shown by an employee will be considered when it comes to deciding if he or she will stay with the organisation for a long time. Research has shown that employees who are committed to the organisation stay longer than those who are less committed. More committed employees would like to leave an organisation at a minimum level. This indicates that they are committed to the company and are working hard to improve its performance. They will also be more likely to stay with the organisation due to its positive attitude and work hard to complete their tasks.
4.4.3 Organisational Performance
The three basic outcomes of an organisation's operations are financial performance, return to shareholders and product market performance. It is somewhat puzzling that the link between employee attitudes and performance is not apparent in the way that Schneider, Hanges, and others talk about micro-orientation. During the 1960s, various scientific researchers such as McGregor, Argyris, and Likert noted that the commitment and experience of employees could help an organisation improve its performance. According to Hughes and Barlo (2021), the best way to improve an organisation's performance is by having a high level of integrity. This is because having a committed workforce can help an organisation achieve its objectives and improve its overall performance.
4.5 Summary
Having high levels of commitment can help an organisation achieve its goals and improve its overall performance. For instance, Jeffrey Industries' performance will be boosted by having more committed employees. According to Nayak, J. K., and Singh (2021), having a high level of commitment can help an organisation increase its productivity. The likelihood of employees leaving their job is also decreased when an organisation has high levels of commitment. This commitment can help an organisation achieve its goals and improve its overall performance. It can be attributed to the core behaviour of its employees and the turnover intention of its workers.

It is very important for organisations to have a long-term commitment to their employees to improve their performance. The study also revealed that commitment is a good predictor of how well an organisation performs in the UK. Employees who are committed to their work are valuable to organisations as they give them additional effort to complete their tasks. They also bring a variety of benefits, such as increased productivity and a willingness to help the company in any way they can. They are less likely to leave or call in sick. The study found that employee commitment can help organisations achieve their goals and improve their performance. It is very important that textile companies continue to ensure that their employees are committed to their work. This can be done through regular communication and by incorporating them into decision-making. High levels of employee satisfaction can be linked to commitment. Transparency is also important as it can help employees feel valued and trustworthy. Having an organisation that keeps its workers informed can help them feel valued and connected to the company. It is also important that organisations encourage free and open communication. This can help foster an environment of trust and allow employees to share ideas and opinions. Moreover, it is necessary that the staff members are given the opportunity to provide innovative approaches to communication. It is important that employees are valued by their organisations and are encouraged to develop better ideas for their work. An organisation is a collection of resources that are used to generate wealth and improve the efficiency of its operations. These include building, equipping, and training employees. In today's complex environment, it is important that organisations have the necessary resources to effectively manage their operations.
Various factors can affect an organisation's performance. Some of these include changes in organisational structures, technological advancements, increasing specialisation and collaboration, and environmental protection. Due to the constantly changing nature of the environment, an organisation has to continuously adapt and perform to meet the demands of its customers and competitors. This is why it is important to overcome the multiple external and internal factors that can affect its performance. An organisation must justify its existence within the community by demonstrating its capability to perform efficiently. Through its performance, the company can also exhibit how effective it is at improving the quality of life in society. It is also important that an organisation continuously improves its performance to maintain its competitive advantage. This can be done through the improvement of its efficiency and effectiveness. An organisation's performance can be measured by the outcome that it exhibits in terms of its financial and corporate image. The goal of an organisation's performance is to improve its efficiency and effectiveness, which is a vital factor that contributes to its existence in today's competitive environment. Details are necessary when analysing an organisation's progress. The concept of organisational performance refers to transforming inputs into outputs that can achieve certain goals. Its content informs about the link between the minimal and effective cost, between realised output and efficiency, and between the achieved outcome and cost. Before analysing an organisation's performance, it is important that the various elements of the company are well understood. This can help in identifying areas of focus and potential improvement. Having a clear understanding of the organisation's performance can also help in reporting its results. Key performance indicators are also necessary for an organisation to reach its goals. These measures help assure that the company is following all the necessary standards and meeting its goals. The external and internal environment can affect an organisation's performance.
The various internal factors that an organisation can consider when it comes to its performance include the availability of human resources, technical expertise, marketing, and financial capabilities. On the other hand, the external factors that an organisation can consider include the policies of government and cultural and political elements. The success of an organisation depends on its goals and how it achieves them using minimal resources. This means that if an organisation achieves its goals using a minimal number of resources, it will do better than if it uses a lot of resources. Performance is a set of indicators that provide information about an organisation's goals and how it has been able to achieve them. These are usually presented in a dynamic manner and require interpretation and judgment. A causal model can also be used to explain how an organisation's actions can affect its future results. For defining the concept of performance, it is essential to know the various characteristics and elements of the company that are representative of each area of responsibility. Performance is measured according to the goals and objectives set by the management of an organisation. These are usually presented and reported in terms of the company's production, financial, marketing, and shareholder performance. The evaluation of an organisation's performance helps in planning and making decisions. Due to the current economic climate and the continuously changing competitive environment, it is more important than ever that organisations regularly monitor and analyse their performance. This process can help them make informed decisions and improve their competitive advantage. Performance measures should cover every aspect of an organisation's operations and goals. A performance measurement system also includes other aspects of an organisation's operations, such as its strategy and tactical capabilities. This can help in planning and making decisions. Besides financial measures, performance evaluation additionally focuses on the company's overall strengths and weaknesses.
Performance evaluation also focuses on the three main factors that influence an organisation's competitive advantage: product leadership, customer intimacy, and operational excellence. Product leadership refers to a company's ability to differentiate itself from its competitors by developing and implementing effective service and product innovations. On the other hand, customer intimacy is a measure of how an organisation's internal processes contribute to the success of its customers. The goal of job satisfaction is to find out how employees feel about their work. This measure can help determine the level of satisfaction that an organisation has with its employees. According to a researcher, job satisfaction can be vital learning that can help the management understand the employees' level of satisfaction. The factors that influence an organisation's performance are the productivity of its employees, their loyalty, and the absenteeism of its workers. Having a high level of satisfaction can help boost an employee's commitment and improve the company's productivity. The goal of the road map is to maximise the pleasure and minimise the physical effort of an employee. It is the reason why an organisation's workers are more committed to their work and are more excited about it. This can lead to higher performance and make employees feel more valued and included in the company's operations. One of the most important factors that an organisation can consider when it comes to increasing its employee motivation is providing a variety of perks and benefits. This can help boost the employee's commitment and improve the company's performance. Another important factor that an organisation can consider is job involvement. This is the way an employee interacts with their work environment. The concept of job involvement refers to a psychological type of behaviour that an employee is engaged in while they are focused on their current job. It is a type of attitude that indicates that they are willing to give their all to their work. This type of behaviour can affect the quality of their work experience and the working environment. Job involvement can also help maintain a clear set of expectations and provide the necessary support to the company.
6.3 Recommendations
Successful Employees Achieve Goals
One of the most critical factors that employees must consider when it comes to achieving their goals is having a positive experience with their customers. If they do not perform well, their consumers will feel that the company is not addressing their needs (Palm et al., 2020). Those who perform well get things done quickly. For instance, if the person who writes customer reports always gets late, they might end up looking unprofessional or incompetent.
Create a Positive Work Environment
Having a positive work environment can boost morale among employees. If the people are not motivated to do their jobs properly, their performance can lead to a complete department collapse. To create a more positive work atmosphere, it is important that the company provides incentives and rewards to high-performing staff members. Having a well-functioning office can also attract quality candidates because it feels like the organisation is working toward its goals.
Measure Employee Growth
One of the most effective ways to create a positive work environment is by regularly evaluating the performance of the employees. This allows them to see how they are doing and set new goals. Motivated employees are more likely to perform at a higher level. It is also important that the company encourages and nurtures the strength of its employees to ensure that they can reach their full potential and contribute to the company's success (Pham et al., 2019). Watching staff members grow can help identify their potential as leaders and managers.
Establish Team Trends
Being able to evaluate the performance of the employees is very important to ensure that the company is doing well in terms of its productivity and profitability. It is also important to avoid assuming that poor performance is a sign of a poor employee. Instead, look for trends that indicate that certain groups of employees are performing well. Having a well-designed evaluation system can help managers identify areas of concern that need to be addressed. Good employees are more productive and contribute to the company's overall productivity. Having an evaluation system can help the company identify areas where the staff can grow.
6.4 Limitations
The objective of this study was to analyse the effects of employee commitment on the performance of an organisation. The research has been done with the help of a meta-analysis procedure to explore the various factors that can affect an organisation's performance. A cross-sectional approach can lead to superior results as it involves taking a look at the previous research and coming up with a better strategy for achieving the goals. It will also benefit organisations and researchers.
