The manager has adopted two theories to develop the organisation in the market. They are as follows:
Principles of administrative management theory
As stated by Khorasani and Almasifard (2017), human resource management of the organisation has adapted this theory to improve the perspective of an organisation. As per this theory, the leaders have six main purposes and they need to operate the work according to the development of the company. They need to forecast an effective plan according to the situation and change in the environment. They need to plan properly so that they can get a position outcome. They need to coordinate with other employees and department of the company to introduce better productivity as well as the management need to provide team leaders for every department to control in their teamwork properly within the organisation. The management needs to provide good interaction among each other to avoid any misunderstanding. Allstyles has adopted this theory to avoid lack of poor staff as well as to increase the sales record of the company. The organisation need to follow some principles to develop the management of the company and to increase its productivity.
Initiative: As stated by Prasad (2020), the management needs to provide freedom to their employees so that they can carry out their duties and responsibilities by their own without any order or force. The company have to provide proper development and training to their employees so that they can understand their roles properly.
Equity: The Company have to provide equality to their employees that means they have to treat both male and female gender equally. The company have to provide a friendly environment for every staff as well as they have to treat every with respect and kindness. Allstyles have to treat equally to all their employees to increase the number of employees as well as to get more skilled and experienced employees.
Scalar chain: As mentioned by Strauss et al. (2018), the organization need to provide supervisors from the lower level of management to the top level and they must have good communication among them to keep a strong record of the company. Allstyles have to increase communication between the employees and upper management to improve the business in the market.
Unity of direction: It is important to introduce one manager in every department to maintain the working environment properly. The manager needs to coordinate the team properly to achieve a successful goal of the company.
Discipline: According to Ashkanasy et al. (2017), employees of the company have to be obedient and respectful as well as they need to follow laws and regulation of the organisation. The company have to introduce reward as well as punishment system for the employees to control them properly. Allstyle has poor employee and therefore they need to introduce reward to motivate to perform better quality of work.
Centralization: in this principle, the authority of the company has to keep a strong record of the company so that he or she can able to make an effective decision on the organisation. As per the case study, Allstyles has poor management so it is important to make the effective decision of the company.
Human resource management theory
Human resource management theory depicts every aspect of retailing, initiating from the description of the product, advertisement, and keeping a calculative stature of the productivity, engagement of the employees and turnover. The theory of HR management regulates competition and productivity of the business structure. High productivity determines the expansion of business, along with creating an influential paradigm of productivity, the company determines its progress in the market (Bratton and Gold, 2017). Maintaining a relationship with customers is another important aspect of management. In the case study, key points are established in regards to the business strategy. The manager, Rebecca, has dealt with employee-related issues such as poor staff management. Suggestions provided by her were related to additional training and development of the managers in the utmost formal way. During the training, candidates must be properly compensated and superintend. The theory provides an understanding of the escalation procedure owing to the staff (Rees et al., 2017).
In case of determining rivalry and disputes, the introduction of new stores in a close distance, the manager has predicted threats owing to her the store, Allstyles Department. A clear knowledge of rivalries is included in management which proves beneficial for creating a strategy which can be activated in times of need. Human resources management theory depicts that various steps are taken in dealing with the execution of productivity. As retail stores are to keep in deep contrast in regards to competitive retailers evolving in the market. A key role of management is to calculate sales and revenues. Product-related issues are to be maintained while introducing new electronics products, gets included in the responsibility of a manager. The given case delivers all the possible resources of personal strategy which are implemented by Rebecca, to increase in the sale during the year-end sale. Sales are monitored in utter close relation with the addition of new electronic bicycles stores or electronic goods. Needed space for the goods, being unavailable, the manager took an intensive step to modify the product introduction and hence, the productivity. The sales are to be in close monitoring while coping up with the space issues, and hence a strategical comprehension was given to relocate as per the need (Kim et al., 2019).
Handling several meetings, the manager detects all the aspects, creating hindrances in the path of business. Meeting with the builders stated different sources of troubleshoots, that is when the manager decided to hire a different team of builders to complete the procedure. The theory depicts certain internal scenarios, about disputes amongst several managers, and their cooperative methods. Managing the store, it has been of utmost importance to understand pricing structures that require different ways of providing discounts, at the reduction of the cost when the market value is getting diminished. Thus, maintaining the turnover of the market while aligning with the company (van der Rest et al., 2018). A definite value-driven scheme is organised to complement the interpersonal relational strategy of realities and conflicts. The prior role of the HR theory is to treat the employees in a well-nurtured fashion, initiating from the salary structure to promotional growth. Paradigm is introduced to clarify an innovative path of handling a group under the watchful eye of the manager (Lee et al., 2019). Therefore, one of the theories, applicable in the case of the Allstyles department is stated.
Thus, it is clear from the study that better managerial decisions, functions as well as roles help in the overall progress and stability of a firm like Allstyles department store in the rival market. It is also easier to increase success, stability and feasibility while earning better revenue, sales and income in the competitive scenario. It is also easier to create a good reputation and value while using the right techniques and ideas at the right time. The study also shows better use of various management models helps to maximise stability as well as feasibility in the competitive changing business world.
