Leadership's Role in Motivating Employees to Adopt Cultural Diversity

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the role that leadership plays in inspiring workers to accept cultural diversity in the global retail sector. The study will look at how good leadership affects how well workers can adjust to a culturally diverse work environment and eventually improve organizational performance. Data from both qualitative sources will be gathered and analyzed for an effective understanding of the research area. The results of this study will also underpin on how executives in the retail sector may effectively encourage diversity and inclusivity at work, which can have a good effect on worker motivation and organizational outcomes. Leaders in the retail sector will gain important knowledge from the research's results about how to effectively promote and manage cultural diversity in the workplace. The study will add to the body of knowledge on diversity management and leadership, and it will provide businesses with useful advice on how to design and implement successful diversity and inclusion policies. By boosting employee motivation and fostering a more welcoming workplace culture, this research ultimately attempts to increase organizational performance.

CHAPTER 1- INTRODUCTION

1. Background of the study

Leadership is one of the significant factors that is helpful in encouraging & developing the different approaches so that accomplishing the objective of getting work done in corrective manner can become possible.  Employees are the important assets of the organization that is needed to be motivated and encouraged by possessing right form of leadership practices so that accomplishing greater approach of enhancing their productivity can become possible. Cultural diversity is related with having the precise form of the employees in organization so that greater level of skills, talents, etc. can be obtained so that accomplishing the objective of higher productivity &sustainability can be achieved.  For the purpose of achieving the competitive edge, it is important for the organization to emphasize in developing the reliable form of leadership practices so that gaining greater competencies can become possible.  the effective form of leadership is related with improving the way of conducting the organizational actions in turn meeting the objective of higher productivity, profitability, stability, etc. in turn better growth can be achieved (Kumari, Barkat Ali and Abbas, 2021).  In order to become successful and effective at international level, it is crucial to emphasize on having the precise form of processing by gaining greater motivated employees so that higher performance to overcome the prevailing challenges can become possible. The current study is based on retail sector which is one of the successful firm operating at international level by offering the groceries, etc. goods. The study will investigate that the importance of leadership practices in motivating employees to adapt the cultural diversity at international level so that depth understanding regarding the specific subject matter can be achieved. For the purpose of meeting the objectives, qualitative type of research will be utilized in turn corrective insights regarding the specific subject matter can be achieved.

Leadership practices are crucial so that corrective & accurate instructions &directions can be offered to employees which can allow them to get precise form of clarity & transparency related with their roles & responsibilities.  It is important to get the effective practices that can increase the cultural diversity and effectiveness in turn deriving competitive benefits of eliminating the irrelevant outcomes which can incline overall growth & development firm.  This provides the assistance in receiving the good performance from staff so that motivating employees to adopt the cultural diversity prevailing at international level in turn deriving results which can enhance the overall performance (Tariq and Ding, 2018).   The main reason behind selecting the particular study is that it can allow to get the precise understanding related with factors affecting the leadership practices in motivating employees, challenges that are faced in executing the same and strategies for the purpose of adapting the cultural adapting can become possible. It can help in deriving better performance in industry through taking relevant actions so that greater growth & development for increasing the overall organizational performance by gaining motivated employees can be derived.

For the purpose of success achieving, it becomes important for the firm to give emphasis on having the reliable insights regarding the prevailing challenges which is hampering the overall performance so that gaining good competencies can become possible. Leadership practices are crucial as provides assistance in receiving the greater competencies in employee can be developed to have effective cultural diversity in turn higher productiveness can be achieved.  It is important to get the reliable & relevant understanding regarding the particular subject matter so that gaining proper performance to incline the productivity & sustainability.   Leadership practices helps in gaining good organizational growth by ensuring that employees are motivated in right manner so that increasing their potentials to achieve the delegated roles and responsibilities in effective manner. In respect to gaining the success, this is required to be focused that all employees in firm are motivated towards adapting the cultural diversity so that meeting good standardized results can be achieved. This helps in ensuring that proper results through coordinating with prevailing cultural at international level so meeting the standards established at international level can become possible.  It is important to make sure that firm is having all reliable level of management related courses of actions that can lead enterprise towards success.  This helps in having the proper ability to implement the change in the overall functional areas so that higher productiveness by coordinating with external business environment so that accomplishing the objectives like productiveness, greater profitability, stability, etc. be achieved.  This helps in eliminating the existing risk & challenges so that meeting better performance by encouraging staff to meet deadlines in effective manner. This is required to be emphasize that this helps in attaining the depth understanding is that attaining objectives in effective manner can become possible. For this purpose, there is application of different theme in turn better knowledge regarding the specific subject matter can be derived.

 

Theme 1: The factors affecting the leadership practices in motivating employees to adapt the cultural diversity at international level

According to Fatimah and Syahrani (2022) leadership is concerned with offering the reliable form of the guidance to staff so that accomplishing the objective of achieving right & relevant performance from employees can be achieved. There is distinct form of the aspects which is required to be taken into the consideration so that greater ability to coordinating with the changing situation can become possible.   Motivating employees with help of right type of the leadership is important so that greater performance accomplishing to increase its brand image in market can become possible.  For the purpose of motivating employees. The courses of action that can be utilized by firm so that increasing organizational growth can become possible. This can be exerted via choosing such right form of the leadership practices that can increase the competitiveness so that offering reward &recognition to employees so that establishing better work life balance in respect to have the good organizational outcomes to meet the competitive aspects can become possible. The factors that affect the leadership practices involves coordination between employees & leaders, the level of communication conducted, effective offered support, etc. in turn meeting the objective of influencing employee’s motivation get affected.

On the other side, Glatthorn et.al., 2018 depicted that there are distinct factors which influences the leadership practices of firm and tend to influence the employee’s motivation. This comprise integrity, inspiration and improvement. In case employees are delivered with instructions the right level of respect the greater positive impact will be obtained on them. It is important for the leaders of the organization to concentrate that which type of the actions it is required to be taken so that higher progressive performance which can declines the negative impact on their potential sharing of achieving the roles   &responsibilities can become possible. It is essential to focus on having trustworthiness so that sharing all the relevant &crucial information which can incline its overall performance in positive manner. This can lead the firm towards the success so that greater effectiveness in receiving the better organizational performance can be derived. In this manner, it is required to be emphasized so that attaining the proper type of the leadership practices so that attaining relevant performance which can increase its entire ability to have cultural diversity. This benefits firm to get diverse competencies possessing people so that higher capabilities developing to meet better organizational results in terms of profitability, stability, higher productiveness, etc. can be met.

In the views of Bendell Sullivan and Marvel (2019) there are distinct elements which is needed to be focused so that higher ability to meet the objectives like effective communication, better change management, optimum utilization of resources, emotional intelligence, leading in precise change manner, etc. can become possible. On the basis of this, it can be specified that this helps in having proper& relevant level of recruitment procedure, retaining talent, team creativity, etc. can be developed. Employees are motivated when there is precise development of team cohesion, increased enthusiasm, enhanced cooperation, etc. can be built. In against to this, Gazit and Bronstein (2020) articulated that in respect to gain greater success by overcoming the negative influence there is requirement of possessing good leadership practices as it influences the employee motivation so that desirable objectives attaining can become possible.  This is required to be focused that there are other factors also which leads to impact staff motivation that involves the remuneration, prevailing culture in company, support from colleague, etc. These all are needed to focus so that receiving the ability to coordinate with hanging situation can become possible. This can help in receiving effectiveness in entire performance of staff can be received. This is needed to be ensured so that lack of trust, availability of resources, etc. builds the conflict related situation in turn affects in negative manner. On the basis of this, it can be mentioned that these all are the crucial aspects which is required to be taken into the consideration so that desired objectives attaining can be done to increase its overall performance that can increase the better competitiveness at international level. On the basis of this, it can be articulated that these all are the crucial factors which tend to affect the motivation level of people in enterprise so that good cultural development can be attained.

 

Theme 2: The strategies of leadership in motivating employees for the purpose of adapting cultural diversity prevailing at international level

As per the views of Fatimah and Syahrani (2022) there are several types of leadership strategies which can be utilized for the purpose of adapting the cultural diversity at global platform. The one of the significant approaches that can be utilized for the aim of motivating employees so that effective performance can be achieved. This comprises defining & communicating vision so that accomplishing the objectives can become possible.  This provides the assistance in encouraging the employees as they are clear about their roles &responsibilities which permits to get the corrective level of insights such as having effective pattern of growth &development as specialized outcomes achieving can become possible.  It can allow to obtain the competitive position so that maintaining precise reason for having cultural diversity in firm can be explained which can contribute in motivating staff in turn attaining greater outcomes which can ensure successful processing of organization can be done in most effective manner.

In contrast to thisWillis and et.al., (2021) said that for meeting the objective of having motivated employees it is important for the organization to pay attention on building significant working environment in turn accomplishing the higher productiveness can be derived.  His reliable course of the action which can be executed at international level for adapting the cultural diversity through application of relevant leadership practices. This involves using participative working strategy that can help in encouraging recognition so that commitment towards the vision, mission, goals, etc. can be obtained. In addition to this, it can be articulated that having the significant application of possessing the culture of gratitude towards others support in respect to have completion of the particular roles and responsibilities so that greater productiveness can be attained. With respect to this, it can be interpreted that accomplishing good organizational results which is helpful in increasing the competitive edge.

According toBean (2021) in order to have the competitive position it is essential for the organization to focus on gaining such proper evaluation of the prevailing situation in firm so that relevant pattern of growth & development can be attained. This is needed to be emphasized that there is proper form of delegation & empowering so that engagement in team can be developed. This can allow the employees to have exiting position of responsibilities in turn better worth for approving the quality of work can become possible. On the basis of this it can be articulated that leadership strategy can help in increasing the competitive performance in quality manner can become possible. It can help in creating positive working culture that can increase its overall performance in sector so that inclining the reward &recognition by safeguarding that they have enough power for taking certain decisions. 

On the contrast to this, de Araujo and et al., (2021) said that there is various form of the aspects which is needed to be concentrated so that accomplishing the goal of higher productivity & profitability in the organization. This is needed to be emphasized so that effective level of working condition by increasing greater encouragement to employees by so that developing better strength by eliminating all the weaknesses in turn good organizational  outcomes such as inclining productivity, eliminating confusion,  establishing greater employee retention,  positive brand image, etc. this can help in  uplifting the overall  working conditions so that higher acceptance towards hanging circumstances  exerted in most effectual pattern.  This is one of the successful strategies of leadership that can be utilized for the purpose   of eliminating irrelevant factor affecting the working condition of the organization in turn meeting the objective of being one of the successful firm at global platform can become possible.

 

Theme 3: The challenges faced in executing the leadership practices for motivating employees to adapt the cultural diversity

As per the views of Contreras, Baykal and Abid, (2020) the communication issues have been a very important factor for the leaders which are trying to help the employees adapt the cultural diversity. It has been seen that the on diverse teams due to the language barrier there is different communication styles or preferences, people that help in hearing the loss towards the team. This is very important to address the challenges before facing problems. Diversity can cause problems related to language and other essential features to communication. Al Muqarshi, Kaparou and Kelly, (2021) argued that the cultural misunderstandings are also an issue which can generate the success that is effective for the leaders in the motivation of employees in adapting to cultural diversity. Building an inclusive workplace is said to be a very effective factor that is essential for overcoming the misunderstanding. Thus, the confidence of the people that feel the respected is going to be able to achieve the differences that are more likely to gain the benefit of doubt. Which can achieve the success that is required. Diversity is said to be the reason for the leaders to deal with different cultural practices that can be easily misunderstood causing issues that benefit the operations.

According to Tran (2022) in order to get the greater ability to coordinate with changing situations, firm require to focus on building such courses of actions that can ensure that proper ability to incline their overall performance in terms of financial and non-monetary at international level can be exerted in most effective manner.  The one of the successful leadership strategy that can be sued for increasing employee’s motivation is that executing the training& development for the purpose of creating positive attitude so that higher results to build competitive position in specified sector at global platform.

Mertova and Webster, (2019) explained that due to the slow decision making that takes place in the organization the leaders have to face issue in motivating the employees for cultural diversity. This is very important for the team members to challenge the status of meeting up with each other to understand the culture. Poor decision making can lead to situations which are not favourable for the achievement of the success. Management of the company and its different ideas are considered to be the debate is to be managed and informed for the decisions. It also includes the benefits which allow speak up and even in the area that are outside of their expertise. Hence, this results in a major issue towards the cultural diversityTerrell and et al., (2018) elaborated that it is inequitable towards the inclusion of the workplace that means something different can help others achieve the success.

On the other side, Douglas, Roberts and Díaz III (2022) leadership strategy which is related with possessing effective form of evaluation of the motivational approach which can permit the firm to achieve desirable results.  The one of the significant aspect that is needed to be emphasized by firm for the aim of enhancing the competitive outcomes to get better working condition to have higher profitability& stability can be derived. 

 

 

3- RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

1.  INTRODUCTION

Research methodology was the specific process of technique used and identified the selected process and analyzed the information about a topic. In that study, about leaders motivating the employees for cultural activities, the qualitative research type was selected. This research had considered the inductive approach and Interpretivism philosophy for the data collection. In this research, a sample of 20 employees of the Retail sector was taken for the primary sources, and articles and journals were referred to for the data collection and analysis through the secondary sources.

 

2.  Research type

Research methodology was considered to be generally of two different types: Qualitative and Quantitative. Qualitative research type was the research in which the focus was on obtaining data with the help of open-ended conversation or communication (Dodds and Hess, 2020). It was the collection and analysis of non-numeric data which was used for the analysis of concepts, opinions, and experiences. Quantitative research, on the other hand, was said to be a systematic investigation of the phenomena that was regarding gathering of the quantifiable data that performed statistical and mathematical computation of the information. For this study, qualitative research type was selected as it focused on the theoretical concept of leadership and its importance towards motivating employees in cultural diversity. Such a research type would help in allowing to develop a better understanding of the emotional connection in the research topic. This study helped in answering the theoretical aspects of the questions related to the topic.

 

3.  Research approach

A research approach is said to be the process that was used by the researcher for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of the data. There were two major approaches in the research: inductive and deductive. The inductive research approach was the method for drawing the conclusion from the going to a specific to generate. It helped in contrasting the deductive reasoning which proceeded from general information and was also specific to conclusions. The inductive reasoning was also known as the inductive factor towards the logic from the bottom to upward reasoning. Deductive approach to research was said to be the one in which there was typical association with scientific investigation. The researcher in this study was able to look at others regarding their action and read existing theories or whatever phenomenon was present to test the hypothesis later on. This helped in the emergence of the theories from the hypothesis which was very effective for the operations.

 

4. Research philosophy

The research philosophy is the one that deal with the large topic that was present for the discussion of the topic and great details which were required for the achievement of the study. This was also considered to be a specific factor that was able to develop the knowledge and experience. It was also the matter that needed to be addressed as the researcher may have different assumptions on the study. There were two basic needs of the research philosophy which were considered to be used for this study, such as Interpretivism and positivism. For the present study, Interpretivism was selected due to the factor that it helped the research to evaluate the qualitative aspect of leadership and cultural diversity. The research philosophy was also considered to be the research that was used as research philosophy for providing a contextual basis for the common philosophical paradigms. This was also considered to be the key factor for the foundation of further study into the research philosophy.

 

5. Data collection

Data collection is considered to be a systematic process which was able to gather the observation which was used for the measurement (Mertova and Webster, 2019). It was also considered to be the factor that was able to perform the research for the business. It helped in the governmental or academicals purpose, data collection allowed to gain a first-hand experiences and knowledge of original insights regarding the research. There were two major sources of collecting data such as primary and secondary. Primary data referred to the first-hand data which was gathered by the researcher himself and secondary data was the one that was collected by someone else earlier. Primary data included surveys, observation, experiments, questionnaires, personal interviews, etc. Secondary data included government publications, websites, books, journals, articles, and internal records. For this study, both the sources of data were implemented for the data collection and analysis evaluation in order to develop the study.

 

6. Sampling

Sampling technique is considered as the selection of individual members or a subset of the population to make statistical inferences that estimate the characteristics of the world population. It was effective for the sampling methods which helped the researcher widely use the research in the market, so they did not need to research the entire population of collected actionable insights. For the purpose of this research, 20 employees of the retail sector were randomly selected for the referring purpose of sampling technique. It had helped the research evaluate the results from a larger section of the population, and it helped the research analyze the growth that was required. This sampling technique was essential for the understanding of the target audience that the researchers wanted to understand the thought process of the people who were interested to study for their responses.

 

7. Data analysis

Data analysis in research is the process used by the researcher interpreting the derived insights. The data analysis helped to reduce the large chunk of data into smaller fragments. With the help of data analysis, both summarization and categorization were taken into consideration for contributing to becoming the second known method for data reduction. This helped the research find patterns and themes in the data for the easy identification of linking. The third and the last way of data analysis in the research was done in both top-down and bottom-up fashion. For the analysis of the collected data from the survey, the research employed a thematic analysis that included the perception test technique. This technique was taken for the analysis of the qualitative data effectively. It also considered the responses with different theme preparations and analysis. The qualitative data was analysed by taking a closer look at the results and outcomes of the online surveys, interviews from the respondents as well as the sources from the secondary research methods. The feedback and results of the online surveys were thoroughly compared to the leadership styles within the organisation and employee satisfaction. The data collected from the journals, articles, books are the relationship between the leadership and employee motivation in the retail sector. The journals and articles assisted to provide effective information and data related to the challenges and opportunities of management in the international retail sector. Also, the research was completed on investigating the role of leadership in effective working culture. On the other hand, the data collected from the academic sources also include the role of leaders in promoting the business and motivating the employees. On the other hand, the qualitative data is analysed thematic analysis. This assisted to make effective ways of finding and analyzing the data for the research.   

 

8 Reliability and validity

Reliability refers to the consistency that is essential for the measurement of the results that can be reproduced under the similar conditions. It is also related to the accuracy of the measurements in the research results. The effectiveness of the research includes the areas that were taken into consideration. For ensuring the validity of the research the articles that have been published after the period of 2018 were considered. With that the consideration of the topic articles were selected from which the shows that research is valid or was not highlighted. It was taken into account that the copyright protected sources of secondary sources that was collected from the reliable aspects. These data collected in the study is reliable as they were researched with the help of key words that are related to this study.

 

9. Research limitations

There is different research limitation to this study which is related to the time, money and unavailability of sources that are recognized as the main limitations that is associated with the current study. Due to having a limited time frame and the research is unable to use the money quantitative tool of SPSS which is not selected. As this research has taken a small sample into consideration is considered to be able to gather the success that is required. Due to the insufficient sample size the statistical measurement is considered to be lack of accuracy in the research. The lack of understanding of the effectiveness of the previous studies was considered to be the key practices related to the topic. Methods of instruments is very effective for the collection of the data that is able to generate the results which are missing. Due to lack of experience related to the research the outcomes were affected. It was very essential for the research to understand the operations that were required for the management of the organization.

 

10. Ethical consideration

The research was not undertaken in public places and the collected data was from reliable sources. Also, the collected data will be kept confidential which is considered for the use of future study. On the other hand, the GDPR, this research had not collected any personal data of the author as per the rules and standards. The personal information and data had been kept confidential. For this research the ethical consideration that were taken was related to the set of principles that is to guide the research designs and practices. For this research the ethics are followed for the human research but data collected was the information with confidentiality for getting ethical approval for the study. It was to make the scientific integrity of the human rights and dignity for the collaboration with the studies and voluntary for informed and safe form of research. In order to comply with the ethical aspect of the research consent forms were sent to the respondents for the selected survey purpose. Further the reference list was added to the end of the report which would exhibit the work which is not copied from somewhere.

 

11 CONCLUSION

In this research the thematic analysis technique is used for the analysation of the primary data that was important for the analysation of the operations. In this study the primary sources were very effective to be able to gather the success that is required for the achievement of the growth.

 From the analysis it can be articulated that there is awareness regarding the concept of leadership. It can be discussed by supporting the statement Schwatka and et.al., (2019) that leadership is one of the significant practices that is related with   having the relevant execution of the courses of the actions that can help in accomplishing the goal of offering the guidance & support to employees so that accomplishing the objective of higher profitability & stability can be gained. Possessing the corrective type of the guidance becomes crucial for the employees so that gaining proper ability to coordinate with the changing situation can become possible. the leadership practices help in having proper clarity of the roles & responsibilities right type of the courses of the actions, proper execution of strategies to meet objectives, etc. so that gaining proper& concise type of the outcomes can become possible.

There is distinct type of the courses of the actions which is needed to be taken into the procedure so that accomplishing the objective of the higher profitability & stability by using the optimum utilization of the resources can become possible. The crucial courses of the action which involves promoting relationship, encouraging employees, taking feedback for improving the actions, offering reward &recognition to employees. This can be justified by referring to the testament of O’Connorand et.al., (2019) there are various courses of the actions that is needed to be executed for the purpose of the having the higher productivity & profitability in the firm so that growth & development can be received. This becomes important for the firm to emphasize on having the effective level of the practices such as offering support, inclining motivation, gaining growth & development, etc. so that meeting the objective of higher profitability, etc. can become possible. 

There are certain factors that is needed to be focused by firms as tend to influence the leader’s performance in motivating employees that involves lack of the coordination, unavailability of resources, inefficient organizational hierarch, limited knowledge & experience.  It can be supported with the statement of Shimengah (2018) that for becoming successful for the purpose of achieving the objective it is important to focus on having the reliable level of coordination so that meeting the objective of higher effectiveness & efficiency can be achieved. This can help in receiving the competitive edge so that hampering the overall performance of the company as there is need of gaining the reliability which cannot become possible due to the prevailing actions.

It can be specified that the cultural diversity helps in achieving growth at the global platform. Cultural diversity is related with possessing the diverse personality possessing people who can contribute in achieving the organizational aim of profitability & stability so that meeting the proper performance to get competitive aspects to overcome the competition at global platform can become possible.  On the basis of this, it can be articulated that there is different form of the objectives which can be accomplished by the firm when there is proper form of the diversity is implemented into the organization (De Sousa Sabbagha, Ledimo and Martins, 2018). This helps in achieving proper ability to coordination with the changing situation so that competencies by firm can be obtained to possess the reliable form of growth & development.  On the basis of this, it can be mentioned that this is helpful in attaining the greater competitiveness to meet the objectives in effectual manner. this provides the assistance in gaining the competitive edge to get the effective level of policies formulation & effectual processing so that  meeting the organizational requirements such higher  profitability, sustainability, etc. at the international level there are different form of the aspects which can be utilized for the purpose of having higher profitability & ability to coordinate with the changing situation so that attaining greater performance to deal with stronger companies  operating in the international  industry. This can benefit in having greater competencies so that meeting the goal of higher effective communication y setting the reliable policies according to the standards of the global platform.

On the basis of the findings, it can be specified that there are various policies that can be established by the company and ensuring that positive working culture are the major kind of the strategies that is taken into the practice by the firm so that possessing proper ability to ensure that adapting of the culture diversity.  It can be justified by referring the views of Hitka, Kozubíková and Potkány (2018) that there is different form of the aspects which can be highlighted such as highlighting the clarity among their roles and roles so that inclining the greater level of motivation among staff can be provided for the purpose of achieving the higher ability to coordinate with the standardized policies so that higher productivity in the global platform can be achieved.   It can be specified that another course of the action which can be executed for the purpose of achieving the appropriate level of the organizational performance by specifying the importance of the cultural diversity so that accomplishing the objective of achieving better results of gaining appropriate ability to meet the competitive performance by ensuring that greater effectiveness of uplift the overall working condition of the business.  On the basis of this, it can be mentioned that there are different types of the crucial strategies which is taken into the practice by the business so that gaining effectual performance which can lead the firm towards the success via ensuring that competitive performance that can help in possessing the appropriate ability to deal with the changing industrial norms, etc. through possessing the effectual support & full potential from employees of the company.

From the findings, it can be interpreted that the mentioned strategies of the retail sector help in gaining the appropriate ability to coordinate with the changing situation. The main reason behind this is that these all provides the assistance in possessing the higher motivation for accomplishing the objectives of the organization. It can be specified with the opinion of Ozkeser, (2019) that in order to have the higher profitability &competitive edge the organization can be benefited by possessing the effectual pattern of the motivation so that inclining the productivity & effectiveness in the overall working condition can become possible.  The main fact behind the effort taken by retail sector in order to motivate the employees so that attaining the greater effectiveness to have the higher profitability & stability in the particular organization.   Motivating helps the employees to understand the significance of their roles and responsibilities, quality work, etc. so that meeting the appropriate performance so that gaining the greater effectiveness to uplift   the overall working condition in respect to have appropriate level of the business management can become possible. The main reason behind this is that it all contributes in having such positive working condition so that implementing the diverse course of the action becomes easy so that having effective performance which can incline the overall productivity of business.

It can be discussed that there are certain challenges which hampers the overall working condition of retail sector at the international level due to inappropriate aspects so that motivating employees does not become possible.   This is recognized that the challenges comprise language barriers and inappropriate employee coordination in training & development that is highly faced by leaders.  It can be justified by looking at the statement of Ali and Anwar (2021) that there are certain challenges which are basically faced by leadership practices in the multinational company so that gaining the greater effectiveness does not become possible.  It can be specified that language barrier and inappropriate employee coordination in training & development in training & development does not permit in having the greater effective performance in the overall working condition cannot become possible.  Eliminating such form of the challenges becomes essential so that gaining the greater productivity & effective communication, optimum utilization of resources, better employee retention, etc.  So that meeting the better ability to have higher performance in the particular sector can be achieved. 

 

 

5- CONCLUSION AND RECOMMNEDATIONS

1. Conclusion

From the above report it can be concluded that leadership practices are highly crucial for the purpose of motivating employees to adapt the cultural diversity at international level. In addition to this, it can be interpreted that there is different form of the courses that is taken into the procedure by the company in respect to have the proper level of growth& development so that accomplishing the objective of higher effective communication &proper utilization of the resources to make sure that effective results to get competitive edge. The current study has formulated the aim & objectives which has provided the appropriate road map for the purpose of achieving the effective insights to carry forward the particular research. There is varied level of the aspects which is required to be focused so that depth understanding regarding the importance of the leadership practice sin motivating employee to adapt the cultural diversity at global platform can be derived. For this purpose, literature review has been involved which has comprised the themes such as the factors affecting the leadership practices, the strategies of leadership and challenges in executing it for motivating employees to adapt the cultural diversity. These have allowed the business to possess the effective level of the information in turn attaining the aim & objectives in depth manner can become possible.

The research methodology has been comprising in the study so that clarity regarding the procure followed for the purpose of attaining the aim and objectives so that higher accuracy in the overall study can be attained.   The current study has used the qualitative research in turn meeting the objective by gaining the understanding of selected sampling size views and experience. In addition to this, inductive approach and interpretivism philosophy has been taken into the consideration so that attaining the appropriate insights has become possible  data collection has been done with help of both primary &secondary source and thematic data analysis has been used for interpreting the data in effectual interpretation of the information has become possible. On the basis of this, it can be specified that random sampling size has been utilized for the purpose of eliminating any kind of the biasness. In addition to this, there is following of the ethical requirements.

From the assessment of analysis data collected, it can be mentioned that there is awareness regarding the concept of leadership. The crucial practices of the leadership in the company comprises promoting relationship, encouraging employees, etc. Lack of Coordination from employees & knowledge and experience in the field, improper availability of resources and ineffective hierarchy of the organization are the factors that can impact the entire performance of the leaders for the purpose of motivating employee. In addition to this, culture diversity helpful in gaining the growth at the global platform by overcoming competition. There is adopting the cultural diversity with guidance & support of leader can be easily conducted via employees on the global platform. Establishing policies for offering clarity about their roles & responsibilities & Building positive working culture are the essential strategies taken into the practice for uplifting morale of employees. On the other side, there is language barrier & inappropriate employee coordination in training & development the challenges which is required to be focused. Employee motivation is an effective factor is considered as one of the most effective aspects for boosting the performance and efficiency of the workers. In international business context, it is necessary for the business organisations to make effective plans and strategies for boosting the capacities of the employees. The very important factor considered in employee motivation is understanding the needs and the requirements of the workers. Also, rewarding and giving benefits will help the business to create strategies for the boosting the performance of the employees. On the other hand, retail sectors can make effective strategies for boosting their employees to work hard. This is an advantage for the business growth and efficiency. Leadership is considered as one of the most important factors which assist to develop strategies for employee motivation. Every business organisation in international level ensures that employee is being motivated and encourages. The leaders and the managers plays important role in motivating the employees and built strategies for the efficiency and effectiveness of the business. Retail organisations that operate in international markets require leaders who can comprehend and value different cultural backgrounds and foster an inclusive workplace that honours and respects employees' uniqueness. Leaders who support cultural diversity in the workplace can raise performance levels overall and increase employee engagement. By displaying their dedication to cultural sensitivity and social responsibility, they may also assist their firms in establishing a solid reputation in the global marketplace. As a result, retail organisations looking to flourish in the global market can gain a lot by investing in leadership development programmes that encourage cultural knowledge and inclusivity.

 

Recommendation

  • It is recommended to retail sector to focus on having the proper level of the development of the culture diversity through ensuring that each employee respect, etc. to the other participant of the organization. The main fact behind this is that it can help in creating such positive environment through establishing the reliable policies so that particular standard aspects are followed in order to establish the clarity in turn meeting the objectives of the organization in effective manner can become possible (Afif and et.al., 2023). This can benefit the firm at international level to have higher productivity by gaining appropriate transparency.
     
  • This is suggested to focus on having the feedback mechanism so that understanding regarding the roles &responsibilities accomplishing pattern, the type of learning course of the action, etc. followed can be recognized so that meeting the information to make proper kind of the strategies for training & development can be executed. This can highly benefit the firm to ensure that higher productivity attaining can become possible by executing suitable course of the action in turn greater results achieving at international platform through proper leading & guiding to employees can be derived.
