The purpose of the presentation is to highlight the aspect of the leadership and identify the impact and benefits that the organization will get from using democratic leadership. From the presentation, it was found out that the different aspects of leadership are creativity, humility, transparency, quick decision-making ability, learning from failure, confidence, and trust. Implementation of the different aspects of the leadership in the organization has a positive impact on the performance and growth of the business. In the competitive business environment, the human resources are the most important assets for the organization as they help the organization to gain competitive advantage. To encourage and motivate the human resource the organization are focusing on democratic leadership. The aim of the democratic leader is to encourage and motivate the employees to make the contribution in the group and come up with the new and innovative ideas to improve the operations of the organization. Implementation of democratic leadership in the organization will assist the organization to gather and retain the skilled and faithful employees. The different benefits that the organization will get by implementing democratic leadership are first, it will increase the employee engagement and will have a positive impact on the motivation level of the employee. Second, it encourages the employees to share their viewpoints and ideas with the group so that the group can improve the way they are performing the tasks. Third, it will help the leader and the organization to gain the trust of the employees. The last, it will facilitate the organization to gather a better commitment from the employees. When the organizations in the retail industry implement this leadership they have to face different challenges such as it delays the decision making process because of the different viewpoints of the team members and this leads to conflict. Not only this, sometimes it holds-up the group to reach a certain conclusion especially when the time is limited. There are different roles and position that the democratic leadership play in the organization such encourage the employees to share ideas, motivate them to carry the task by using innovative ideas, improves the confident level of the employees, and ensure a high level of employee engagement. Because of the globalization, the retail leaders such as Doug Mcmillon, Jeff Bezos, etc are focusing on expanding the operation in different countries. The knowledge and understanding of the crossing countries and cultures are important for the organization and its leaders because it assists them to communicate and collaborate with the employees who are working in a different part of the world and belong to a different culture. From the studies of Western and Garcia (2018), it was found out that it is important for the democratic leaders to implement and motivate cross-culture approach as it improves the diversity and assists in the development of the effective leadership in the organization. The impact of demographic location in the execution of the democratic approach is that while leading and managing the organization the leaders must use the combination of cross-cultural leadership and democratic leadership because the employees to different countries and culture and this will help the leader to make the employees feel connected with the organization. There are different pathways that will help the leaders to lead the employees effectively and these are self-development, team development, and strategic thinking. From this presentation, it is concluded that the implementation of the democratic leadership in the organization will lend a hand to the organization to gain a competitive advantage as it increases the employee engagement and motivation level and this brings the innovation in the organization.
