Poster Interpretation

The given poster firstly illustrates about the use of e-mail service by describing about its importance and its advantages in various domains. Then it further illustrates that the importance of use of email efficiently by overcoming the issues faces by the user such as people get so many inappropriate mails, waste of time due to unimportant mails along with the security issues faced by the users through mail. Then the given poster described about the given dataset along with its limitations.

The next part consist of analysis in part which illustrates the analysation and visualization of the acquired dataset in which it firstly takes, the first group which showcases the survey question states that the problem faced by the user when using the email service with the help of variable q_17_score that consist of selection options in binary and the result showcased that more than 60% people is in the favour of the stated question which means they feel waste of time while using the mail service depends on various scenario. Further it showcase the quantitative analysation with the help of variable q_11 which illustrates the average usage of the mail service by the respondents and the result of this states that various number of people uses the mail service for various usage.

Further the given poster illustrated the answer for the survey question which is the drawbacks felt by the respondents in the mail service and the result of stated that the drawbacks which includes that sent mails are impersonal sometimes as well as misguided which means they got send on the wrong address and presented in the figure. It also illustrated that the assertions which is represented by the experts online which stated that the email usage is the problem. Then the poster talks about the variables q_19a and q_fpxariert0 which consist of the information such as various types of wastage mails received by the users, irrelevant mails, duplicates mails and more. Also it showcase that the only one percent among the acquired results from the respondents feels that there is considering the technical issue is really important while using the mail services.

Then it showcase the result of variable q_22 which showcase that the training provided to the respondents and it was stated that the wide range of the respondents did not attended the training available for them in past 12 months and the people who got the training illustrated that it was useful for their roles as shown in the given figure in the poster and this point concludes that if the training get provided to the user then they may not face various kinds of issues while using the mail services.

Summing up these illustrated points, the given poster stated the two statements which is issues with the mail and other one is benefits of training provided to the users for the effective use of the mail services. Then the poster illustrated the third group which they had consider for the performing the analysation and visualization process in which they illustrates the characteristics of the respondents such as the information about the respondents educational background, their age group and the category of the employment in which the respondents are working. And from this, the poster stated that the age group cannot be consider as issue in the use of mail services effectively, however some age groups may be unfamiliar with the mail service technology.

Lastly, the poster has investigated three groups with the help of survey stated in the acquired survey dataset, it was stated that the given information can get exploited to various extent by doing deep investigation for helping the management in order to generate reports for supporting so that they can design the training plan for providing it to the users. Also it stated that the educational background can also be explored for the mail service users for making the training plan for target group of mail service users if needed and also it stated that it is planned training can be expensive for implementing the effective use of email services among all types of group of peoples working in the education domain in UK inclusive of various roles categories, age categories, gender categories and colleges.

The end conclusion of the given poster stated that overall description of the investigation done for fulfilling the request made by the management who wants to perform analysation based on the survey data for deciding and planning how can they make the training plan for different types of users in the education domain irrespective of their demography. Further, with the help of pictures generated during the investigation as shown in the following images which showcase the issues faced by the respondents while using the email services with more detailed information about the issues selected by the respondents. Then it suggested the making and deploying of the training plan which can be plan with the help of acquired analysation results by focusing more on content send in the email and various demographic of different group of peoples.

Lastly, it illustrates the survey data many not be able to showcase the email service usage in the real time and thus, it is needed to be done more accurately suing the objective type of survey questions can help in acquiring more effective results. And it also stated that according to the acquired data, technical issue has not been consider as the severe issue based on the responds of the respondents so it can also be consider while planning the training for the different user groups in order to implement more effective training plan such as understanding the importance of the data protection by performing the data encryption of the sensitive or the confidential data while exchanging the emails as it is very important for every domains which uses the mail services especially the financial domains as their data is very sensitive and at risk all time of leaking the personal information related to their customer related to the company.

Evaluating Data Visualization Methods

From the respective Poster it is seen that, there are various limitations and drawbacks of this poster and also it is not giving the exact message clearly in order to represent the data.

Background colour

It is seen that the background colour is Green which is having high contrast and the font colour on it very dull which means that the coordination between the background and the font is not good and improper. They should use some other type of fonts which could make it broader and understanding in order to make the things clearer and understanding.

Fonts

The size of font should be clear and the colour of it should be changed in order to make it visible and attracting, so that viewer could get interest in it and make it proper understanding at that place. They must be having visible fonts and good colour combination.

Visualization

Graphs used here are improper, they are not having the appropriate information about it and the pie chart, which is to tell the drawbacks of the emails, but the information in the pieces is not clear and they are not able to showcase all the type of data, there should be more graphs which could make the topic clearer to the users and then the training plan can be planned by taking that into consideration. The bar graph used here which is not clear and having less options for the evaluation.

Presentation style

The presentation of the poster is not appropriate, it was asked to make A0 size poster and it does not look like it. They must be intended and the paddings must be there to make the presentation look good. They must use bullet points so that the points are clearly shown, there should be more graphs.

Reason why the poster can fail

Poster can fail due to various reasons:

  1. Due to the colour combination.

  2. Font selection

  3. Inappropriate visualizations.

  4. Improper information.

  5. Poor skills of showing out the data.

Limitations of presented poster

The poster has covered various important aspects of the survey data; however it failed to showcase the proposal question as there was no illustration showcased in the poster regarding the purpose of the research. Further, the given poster also does not represents the purpose of the variables which they had taken in their three groups and what they signified and also they lack the various kinds of options presented in the chosen survey question for the acquired dataset. Furthermore, the showcased graph does not illustrates the variables name and their meaning and instead of that only, provided label name was shown with no description and so it can be hard to understand the purpose of the taken variable name and how it showcases the information. Thus, the given poster should have illustrates the drawbacks which was consider for performing the investigation. Also it was illustrated that they have consider three groups for performing the investigation but only two of the groups graphs were showcased in the poster.

The scale of the globe and the volume of that world have been evolving steadily over the years, which has rendered email an incredibly necessary and used medium of exchange. These developments also led most citizens to easily become frustrated by the number of emails they have to read. Several proposed responses to this issue are that because email doesn't need postage, the postal system, and those in control, should institute a staggered service; that more severe monetary penalties should be levied on those who submit loads of communications in a single day in order to generate a feeling of pain that would serious make "overload" the explanation for not sending or receiving enough messages; or that the side effect of email for many users is that they spend an equal amount of time checking email as they do reading the newspaper, reading and listening to music, doing homework, spending time with their children or relaxing and catching up on their sleep. This may have served to obtain more appropriate findings in order to carry out an efficient investigation.

This were the essential variables that should be regarded for data processing, such as "Would you like to adjust your email usage?”, “In general, do you consider the effect of submitting emails to the recipient?”, "Do you spend some time with your email address? "And "If yes, please have a considered estimation of the percentage of time you spend while using email at work." As a consequence, the management can intend to create a more appropriate training panel, along with an illustration of the responses from the recommendations given by the respondents, which indicated that the ways in which communication via mail can be rendered more productive, the features of the email services that need to be enhanced, and the various methods that can be used to ensure that there is a serious problem and for making effective email service usage training plan for all kind of users.
