Introduction
Sex and gender are interchangeable concepts but have very diverse meanings. Sex is the physical appearance of a person, and it is determined at birth, based on the genital composition in a person, mostly differentiated as male, female and other. On the other hand, gender is binary and can involve a person’s identity it can be identified even when a person is full-grown, such as transgender, nonbinary, etc (Newman, 2021). In this proposal, the topic of sex and gender was the subject becausethere isa socio-political movement, which has its ideologies to establish that our society is sexist and discriminates between gender and sex. The topic of sex and genderrequire society to accept all attributes of the society and provide equality to every person, as even though people are aware of this issue, they somehow manage to ignore it and point figure on the underprivileged gender which in most case is women, representing how they have way too much freedom and they just want to become the superior gender.
Ethical issues of Sex and Gender
If someone analyses the ethical issue of the society, discrimination based on employment, healthcare, social status is present in our society, and women are the most common victim of this issue. The world is male-biased and male-dominated, within this world, other genders specifically women have to fight for their basic rights such as health and security, privacy, and their fundamental rights (Nuseir and Ghandour, 2019). the proposal addressesan ethical issue called discrimination, as women who excel in their field are paid fewer wages than a male co-worker. Women are accused of being privileged and are provided roadblocks in their way to earn top positions just because they ask for maternity leave. Harassment, rape, molestation, stereotypes, female feticides are other issues faced by women.
A feminist theory explaining the concept of sex and gender
In the proposal, the topic will be explained briefly with a sociology theory founded by Mary Wollstonecraft, called the feminist theory, which focuses on determining the issues of the society faced by a woman and determines their perspective. The feminist theory includes a key aspect of social and ethical issues faced by a woman such as discrimination, exclusion which is mostly based on gender, objectification, power, oppression, stereotypes based on gender roles, etc (Sidun, 2021).
This theory is the key subject thatis explained in surrounds my ideology, as the theory is also based on explaining that it does not revolve around asking for the rights of women and girls and promoting their superiority. However, its main goal is to ask for equality among all gender, this theory wants to illuminate the circumstances which create unequal social behaviour and injustice in society. While agreeing with the concept of this theory my visual culture subject determines and proposes a similar subject, to be considered.
Sex and gender issues in the Automobile industry
The automobile industry faces the most impact of sex and gender inequality, and this unequal behaviour is often marginalized to be low when there is a comparison of gender biases (Efanga, et. al., 2021). This industry is essential as it is identified that the females are considered as physically weak gender and will never be equal to men, however they deserve equal rights.
