The research is carried out with the group members, it was an interesting research proposal with effective plans for the investigation of the impacts of digital technology. The members who were involved in the research were more active. By understanding our skills and qualities the work was assigned as per the strengths and weaknesses. Every member has to contribute equally to the research proposal. While researching the proposal we had to face issues and challenges. One of the main issues was coordinating among the groups. Due to the increasing pandemic, the issue was we were restricted to go out to interact with the people. Understanding the different technology usage in the hospitality sector has created a better knowledge about the impacts of the systems in the hospitality sector. To get the information the groups have to make communication with the experienced or the employees of the hospitality sectors. The task was divided among the groups and was assigned as per their skills and attributes. We had to make deep study and research to understand the importance of digital technology. The use internet of things and artificial intelligence in the hospitality sectors have reduced the high workload on the laborers. It creates a connection between different functions and operations of the hospitality sector. Artificial intelligence is used in the hospitality sector to boost the quality of the services, the accuracy of the services, and the speed of the services. The point or review provided by the customer through an online survey assists the hospitality sector to identify the complaints of the customers. This will help the hospitality sector to make changes if needed.
The outcome of the research was expected to be a smooth and well-organized structure. Due to the challenges such as the pandemic, it was difficult to handle and manage the research proposal. For the data collection method, we had to search many websites for a better understanding of the topics. Furthermore, for the literature review part, we had to take more time to search relevant papers and articles for the study. As per my observation, it was found that to interpret the various articles, we had to take a deep study. We have identified the number of hospitality sectors practicing digital technologies for the effective growth of the business. Also, we had to make plans and strategies for evaluating the factors that were researched or studied. A literature review was a vast part and have to go through many articles for the research and study. The very important factor that was considered for the literature review is selecting an appropriate research paper or article. This helped us to understand the different factors that are related to the research. It has been observed that many hospitality sectors are developing a technological system within the business structure for easy access and effective services. Therefore, for collecting the data and information qualitative research is done. Research methods are by understanding the facts of digital technology and its usage in the hospitality sectors, and how it influences the growth of the business. A group is formed to divide the work and make research for completing the proposal.
The other important factor that was more challenging for us before the literature review was selecting the topic. We had to understand the different factors that are in trend and which are important. The factor that is in trend in this digital world business is the use of technologies and digital technology. This will assist the business to make a strategic and tactical plan for future business plans. Topic selection is a challenging fact in the research proposal. On the other hand, the data collection and research methodology are other factors that were considered for completing our research project. The research methodology we used in this proposal is qualitative research. Qualitative research was based on our observations and also learning from the relevant articles and journals. On the other hand, the thematic analysis approach is used for analyzing and interpreting the data and information that were collected and gathered. In this growing technology generation, it has been stated that the digital platforms in the hospitality sector are making the service more accessible and well-organized. Therefore, data analysis is very important for the research project and proposal. By analyzing the data and information, the patterns are identified which assist to make a further interpretation.
The importance of the contribution of the group members increased our potential and stability to make more research. This helped us to reduce the work overload and have reduced the stress. We learned that working in a group or team increases our potential and makes the research more effective and efficient. The rapidly increasing revenue of the business structure due to the use of digital technology influences the growth of the business. By retrieving the data collected the business creates an effective insight into the client behaviors and creates efficient retention of the clients. The strategies help the hospitality sector to know the opinions and the feedback of the customers. It makes predictions and assumptions and generates the patterns to understand the demand of the customers. Not only the luxurious hospitality sector develops digital technology but also the small business hospitality business. Many hospitality sectors are using the tools and systems for online reviews and customer complaints. The online websites and portals of the hospitality sector provide a section of complaints that is open to the customers who have visited the hotels or restaurants. Therefore, it can be stated that working in a team assists to make the research more effective and reduces the risks. I have developed personal skills that are important for further research. This research is continued for an understanding of the factors such as the importance of the hospitality sector and the digitalization in this sector. The data collection and gathering was one of the other important factors in the research project. Understanding various methodologies will assist to make effective research for the proposal.
