SECTION A: Introduction
Introduction to the Portfolio
Portfolio refers to a collection of work samples, past experience and references of the skill sets, accomplishment and abilities that is used for the purpose for showcasing the skill and talent for the job the person is seeking for it (Mills et al., 2024) The given portfolio is a brief of my experience, skillset and the aspiration of joining the Yodel UK for personal and professional growth. It has a defined timeline which deals with my career path. The portfolio has four main components.

The personnel statement has the details of my interest in the organization and the profile I would want to grow in. there is CV showing the details of my past experiences, education qualification and other background details. The self-assessment analysis which is performed using a SWOT and the action plan created through the SMART objectives which are necessary for getting the insight of skill gaps in my own performance (Appleby, 2022)
Reasons for preparing the personal statement and a CV
Personal statement is a helpful tool to provide the brief introduction about the skills and abilities one haves to offer to the organization. It helps in highlighting the key skills and experience f an individual. My personal statement demonstrates my motivation to join the organization it has insights of my career goals, values and ethics I follow in my work environment. It has all the unique qualities and aspiration I own for contributing in the growth of company and enhancing the experience of the employees. A well-crafted personal statement can help in addressing the expectations of the candidate and also helps the employer to take the decision wisely (Harvard Business Review, 2021)
Similarly, a job specific cv in a portfolio Helps to provide the insights of past experience and present expectation. The CV helps to provide the context of qualification and aspiration one shows in the portfolio. CV excessively emphasis on the education details, highlights the achievement that makes it different from other components of the portfolio. CV is essential part for the portfolio as it completes this document (Gugnani et al., 2020). My CV comprises of the experience I have had and the education qualification I possess. It will be helpful for the employer to get the professional details of my carrier. CV is a basic need of any professional portfolio as it communicates some of the most important details.

YODEL is founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Warrington, UK. The company is Owned by the private equity firm, Harris Associates. It is courier service provider working nationally catering to a wide range of clients, from e-commerce businesses to individual customers. It is known for its international express shipping (Yodel.co.uk, 2020). The company is committed to provide the fast delivery by implementing the most effective logistic solution that includes the warehousing management and supply chain management. The company is known for its in-home delivery and collection services for both businesses and individuals. The company is well aware of community engagement and its environment responsibly. Yodel also contributes into the growth and development of its employees by providing it proper training and opportunities. Yodel has positioned itself as a key player in UK courier market known for its eligibility and customer focused approach.
My Interest to work with YODEL, UK
Yodel is one of the prominent names in the delivery services around and out of UK. It has a huge reputation in the logistics industry which will motivate me to work in my best of the abilities. I have passion in delivering the packages and driving; by delivering each parcel I get mental satisfaction that will suit to my profile. Apart from this I am currently working as a courier driver at Dynamic Parcel Distribution, Burnley which provides the international delivery services in UK and round the world (Dpd.co.uk, 2024). The experience at that company is helped me to develop the skills of journey and route planning, map reading and so many other things. I seek for the career growth opportunities and advancement. Yodel offers various such offers and various opportunity for development and progression. The company values and customer centric services are aligned to my own ethics and values towards my work hence I would be very happy to utilize the opportunity to collaborate with the company that values growth and sustainability in its operation. I believe my dedication and customer focused approach would make a valuable addition in the company.

As a courier drier I seek for such an opportunity which can train me and can help me in develop my skills for higher speed and efficiency. The Yodel is one of the ideal choices for career advancement. It provides the pathways for an advanced position (Yodel.co.uk, 2020). I believe that I will be able to enhance my skills including customer services, safety and logistics management. Overall, the company can provide me the dynamic role for growth and professional development for a courier driver. I am eager to learn and acquire new skills with Yodel that would help me in my career growth. The past experience has given me various insight of real time delivery services. I look up to better opportunity where I will be able manage various segment of the logistics services. The company is bringing positive change in its employees and inspiring them to work more. Personal statement
I am working in DPD Barnsley since a while now, delivering the goods as a courier driver. The profile and the work have helped me to know the important routes of UK. I am capable of delivering products in short span of time while doing my job I understood the concept of route planning and its optimization for fast deliveries. The vehicle loading and unloading was an important task in which I have gained the pro efficiency in reducing the overall delivery dilemmas of the goods apart from the basic skill I have also gathered the knowledge of time management, multi tsking, instant action based on the needs of the customers and safety of the product while taking it from one place to other (Service.gov.uk, 2024). The companies have allowed to get an extensive exposure to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
Talking about my own experience initially it was problematic for me to drive at new places but with the time and more practice I have adapted the changing environment such as traffic condition, unexpected delays (Dwp.gov.uk, 2024). My driving skills has also got improved as now I am able to navigate the alternative routes quickly and resolve the address related issues such as missing address or damaged products. The dynamics of the jobs has helped me to improve my communication skills as well which is of at most importance to enhance the customer experience. A positive attitude towards customer helps to build better reputation of the company.
With my existing skills and knowledge, I am excited and seek the opportunity to join Yodel, UK as I believe that I will get numerous opportunities to work and explore my field, I will be able to polish my skill of delivering the goods and will be able to provide the services in much better way. The company reputation and its image in front of the customer altogether would make me more responsible towards my work because I personally feel that mere satisfactory delivery services can change the game. The organization and its values such as think differently, move to the beats are the most exciting things which are challenging at the same time encourages to bring higher productivity in the work. I am sure that I will be able to contributes my skills and knowledge for the betterment of the organization I look forward to this amazing opportunity which will excel my carrier in very different ways.

Self-Assessment
I believe that analysing one’s own strength and weakness are helpful in understanding the problem in giving the one hundred percent. The following is the SWOT analysis of my own performance which is what I feel as per my present performance at my current job (CIPD, 2019). The assessment will help me get the details of my own performance and in turn will also help the employer to see that what all works I will be able to do and where they would need to train me as a delivery driver specialist.
SWOT ANALYSIS
Strength
Flexible schedule: I can work at odd times as well. I have an experience of driving in low light or at night. Hence, I can compromise on my personal needs in order to deliver things on times (Ray et al., 2021)
Open to diversified work: I have the potential to work with different suppliers all at ones and I am also available for other services which includes delivering the food items, courier services, handling logistics
Local knowledge: I have been working in DPD, through which I got familiar with the local roads, traffic pattern and shortcuts that can enhance my efficiency
Handlin higher volume of work: the growing demand of delivery boys and delivering the products on time. I am capable of handling huge its of orders and can efficiently deliver the things as per the defined schedules
Weakness
Environment concerns: the growing needs of changing technology as er the environment for example switching to the electric vehicle is a bit challenging for the ones who have experience with petrol vehicles (Centobelli et al., 2020)
Physical strains: sometimes the odd timing can lead to physical strain on the body making it fatigue for the next day.
Vehicle maintenance cost: Although I drove many heavy vehicles in the current job but sometimes it becomes challenging to maintain the vehicles.
Opportunity
Expansion of the services: the online shopping and e commerce industry is boosting opening new opportunity for the logistics industry and is also going to benefit the experienced drivers like me.
Technological integration: the robotic technology and utility application of the company has brought the ease in the communication of the details and scheduling of the product (Bejakovi? et al., 2020).
Skill development: through the new avenues it also brings new opportunity for employees like us who would to learn new skill and apply in the real time work.
Threats
Intense competition: there is intensive competition in this field the market is crowded as driving is the basic skill every other person knows it also creates price wars and reduces the earning as there are people providing driving services when they get time out of their regular jobs (Bradulak et at., 2021).
Economic downturn: the situation like Covid 19 or any other economic downfall in this industry can cause problem to the drivers like me as this is the basic source of earning for me.
Safety risk: the increasing risk of accidents, theft, or personal safety concerns while on the job.
Regulatory Changes: Potential new regulations regarding gig work and delivery services could impact operational flexibility.
SWOT analysis has helped to analyse my own performance (The Retail Appointment, 2024). I have to work on my weaknesses that includes physical strain which is totally in my control, I will work on staying fit and consuming a good diet so that I can serves efficiently even on the odd days. Another weakens is maintaining the vehicle cost. With a variety of vehicles that I use for different kind of deliveries, I will research about the vehicle before using it so that I can optimize the cost of it. I will also look after every opportunity I would get which is claiming my professional and that of the company growth. There are various threats related to my job profile, will try to ensure that I am traveling with all the safety measures and regulatory compliance for the successful deliveries.

Conclusion
The portfolio highlights the essential skills and competencies required for a becoming a successful courier driver. Through the identification and development of key abilities such as navigation, time management, customer service, and problem-solving, becomes the key component for the growth and development of company and the individual. Through my past experience I have been trained to serves in the odd condition even to the aces I am not aware of. I have been continuously working on exploring this field and solving the problems which occurred every other day. My commitment towards my skill development would not only benefit the me as a courier driver but will also strengthen the Yodel, UK reputation and success in the competitive logistics industry. This portfolio serves as a foundation for ongoing learning and growth emphasizing on the importance of flexibility and adaptability required in this ever-changing industry (Michelson et al., 2023). I hope the portfolio was able to unlayered my skills required to take such a tedious job.
Moving Forward I would want to show my keen interest to join this brand YODEL, UK. I would also like to provide my sincere commitment to work with honesty and dedication in best of my abilities. I will try to meet all my targets within the given span of time in order to stand up to the expectation off my team. I like to work in the team and will ensure that the addition in the team will also bring the positive change in our overall performance. I hope the portfolio has answered all the question an employee would have want to know about the candidate (BBC Bitesize, 2020). Additionally, I have also added the list of my strength and weaknesses which I have and continuously trying to improve for my own betterment and also for the growth of the company. My experience in the similar field will also help the organisation as I am trained and is knowing various routes of the city and surrounding.
As I want to excel my carrier I feel the company YODEL, UK is the best opportunity I can get as I know with my existing knowledge and ability to learn and face new challenges will surely contribute in my professional growth. Delivering parcels has become my passion and getting to see the smile on the face of the customer boosts my motivation to work more sincerely (Uvet et al., 2020).
