In the developing world, education is everyone’s right. Education is the vital ingredient in forming one's character. With time education system is upgrading itself. Now education is not like walking in the park. With this stress and load is becoming heavy on students too. Nowadays children are more prone to getting depressed. There might be the reason because they aren’t getting good grades or the load on them of assignments is more. There are various problems faced by the students when they step into high schools. Nowadays there are new strategies which schools are using. Out of those strategies, one is that they are appointing counselors for students. A counselor is a person who is specially trained in giving advice and someone can turn up to counselors whenever they need one. This is helpful but what if the school your child going in don’t have a counselor. Many a time child visiting counselor gives an impression that he is not mentally fit which can be bad. As other will make an image of that child as someone having mental disorders and a child may suffer more instead of healing from that. To avoid such chances a family should stand up to their child for help.

Many high schools don’t have counselors.  Throughout, one counselor is there for every 500 high school students. Students do struggle with social issues they face or the problems they face during studies and doing assignments. These steps can help parents so further they can help their child.

1. HELP CHILD TO DETERMINE WHAT’S NEXT IN QUEUE

Children minds are a pool of imagination and creativity. When asked what they want’ to trick them because they can’t choose what they want to be or what are their life goals. In this condition, parents can play a major role. Constantly have a conversation with your child that what they want to be. Or what are their goals or what are their passions which they want to pursue? Sometimes a child fear of failure. Many a times child thinks that his or her parents won’t understand, try being friends with them. Try to understand them and make them determine their career. As parents, you should search websites online which provides help in choosing a career. This can be helpful for your child. Take them to different sectors showing that work is employees doing which can help them in choosing one stream for them.

2. GATHER INFORMATION ON WHICH COLLEGE TO APPLY FOR

Sometimes parents don’t ask the child what college they wish to go. Parents want their child to pursue such courses which gives them professionally higher value in the market. But fails to ask what their child wants to be. As parents, one should help the child to select a college or course want they want to pursue. There are many professional counselors whom one can visit for the guidance of which college to choose after high school. Apart from it, parents can call their friends for help.  Talk to the child and tell them the aspects of the course, is it positive or negative points of different courses. This can help your child to think after every possible point before landing on any conclusion. Irrespective of whatever you want him to be, listen to your child what they want to be. After all, it’s their life.

3. FOR SOCIOEMOTIONAL AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT CONSIDER OUTSIDE HELP

If as a parent you feel like your child is struggling with academic issues to ensure that they communicate to the respective teacher. Parents should advocate their child and talk to their teacher on behalf of them if the child feels difficulty in communication. School in response can help a child by providing extra classes after school or giving extra study material which may be easy than regular teaching stuff. Take your child outside to meet new people so that they can be socio friendly. This can reduce their fear of meeting new people and it can imply that they are free to take a new adventure in life. As a parent, caring for your child if obvious. But sometimes let them free to do what they want in life. Allow them to visit their friends, make new friends and explore new things. This can help in building their concentration level too.

Students and their lives aren’t that easy. Every day you have to explore more in you to stay updated with the competitive world. As parents, your support and motivation help a child to grow into a responsive adult. Counselors are important if your child is facing issue with academics but they aren’t the necessity. If you come up and support your child they can beat anything and come up as champions. It can be irritating and frustrating as parents, but a counselor cannot help your child more than you can. As parents are child’s first teachers. Help them getting good courser to build a strong career ahead.
